He's off back to Man U soon, but his presence in Midfield will be missed, only 20 but he has a presence and looks to lift the players around him. A Team player, positive and humble. He was a major factor of getting us out of the deep hole we were in March.
Cracking long-range scorer of goals andI'm sure a potential future Captain. Let's hope we can get him again or BBM gets lucky again and gets another loanee, who also cares about working hard positively, for whichever badge he is playing for.
Cold night in an open away end and a fairly noisy Dale support.
Strong desire tonight for the players to want to play and keep the club up in what was always going to be a scrap.Thought we edged them on quality. Just. Shit for a while.. but we did stutter towards a performance.
I think we are stilll short of an out an out battler who puts his head where it hurts, but Done and Rathbone in particular stood out for me tonight wanting to get forward with pace searching for that break and luck.
Mcnulty in defence I thought was great today dealing with the inswinging crosses. Sticking that boot out, hoofing the ball to safety on what was a bumpy sandy surface.
I thought Camps could have battled more with the high balls and seemed to stayout of 50/50 challenges. Not really going toe to toe. However he's good at getting a foot in a tackle and controlling the ball, he could be a really great player, I'm sure he can turn a game with a bit of consistency and bit more aggression.
Hard earned three points and boost towards survival.
However an honest man and his humble demeaner shows through. I imagine he's blown away with the opportunity to manage at league level. His family also.
Only a few games to prove himself.
really looking forward to the game, 2nd game in two years after drifting away and hope he can juice a great performance out of this rabble.
Wish we had a gung-ho, braveheart character who looks out for the fans and speaks from our point of view in interviews to create that connection with the terraces. Where's our hero fheor t Dale supporters? The guy who's persona could be developed from a commercial angle too? Jones was our last. We don't have one now. I've just listening to Hendo's interview. Bit wet really. he talks about a successful career and season. He's done brilliant this year, but states he's doing it for his teammates, not one mention for the fans or the town. It an insuler team I suppose that work for each othe,r but it would be a nice change for a character who can bond with the fans.
For the sporty Daleys who like to get fresh air before a Dale game on a Saturday morning.. Anyone tried that watergrove Parkrun? I've heard its all uphill and over the moors? I fancy it... but the course looks a bit of a beast.
Hope he can continue the momentum, last match full of energy and running despite coping with a personal bereavement. He enjoyed his goal at Bristol and also raced over to celebrate the 2nd with Lund. His Grandad goes to most games and I hope he can put on another show for the fans and his family.
Although the linesman was a cock end today gifting them their goal. Here's a bit of feel good music to accompany the lifting of pressure after the whistle went today.
George is the man to step up tomorrow to reek havoc in a Bristol rovers shaky defense. They've won twice in ten games. If we lose to the gas then we deserve feckall. He can create opportunities, lets face it, some have been singing his praisies this season, he can do it! There's no reason why 'marmite' cant go and secure promotion tomorrow.
You can't help but warm to Jamie and offer him encouragement as I feel he does comes across as feeling really awkward infront of camera. He obviously wants to do his talking with a ball at his feet. Couple of years on though and I'm sure he'll relax especially if he's moved up the ranks and playing for a championship club.
At 19 i'm sure many of us would feel the same but just goes to show what a talent he is. Many confident people can blag there way into an opportunity they probably don't deserve. Jamie's done it the hard way through evidence of skill!
......from recent form have a watertight defence. Should we keep them on their toes with a two pronged attack? Joe bunney, long streaky striker with pace powering forward and the mailstrom George doing his bit.... create some havoc?
The Rochdale Division it needs a new name
Not counting my chickens but......any one got any gaffer tape?
This is potentially, possibly maybe, almost Dale's best season ever. Keith's assembled an out of this world side capable I think of holding its own in League 1. (possibly 1 more striker?)
anyways... I would like to see the Run out music changed to something more mirroring our astronomic season
