Don't disagree with Hollowayrangers assessment though I would probably have Derby at the top then Boro. But thats just splitting hairs really. |

The whole Transfer deadline plays into the hands of people on social media who think they are in the know, and as demonstrated by EDS Pete, quite obviously are not. As Clive's piece shows, a lot of the in the knowers are merely recycling rumours found elsewhere on social media and then real journalists give them credence. Proper churnalism.
A good transfer window for us against the bad old days where all of our transfers appeared to be transacted in public (I don't think in those cases it was always agents leaking our interest to get a better deal for their players either). Glad to have kept who we have kept and signed some young ambitious players to complement the experience that we have.
Thankfully we have journos like Dave Mcintyre following the club who don't play that game. (I was also at University with him, so perhaps I am a bit biased). Great piece Clive. [Post edited 2 Sep 2015 14:22]
