Feel free to donate!

Somehow I think most of us are already donating more than enough through our taxes.

Just for a change went and sat just behind the dugouts in the 2nd half last night.

We have some really impatient and idiotic fans sat there who seem to be having a game of oneupmanship so far as shouting silly comments goes.

Not surprised Hilly gets annoyed.

Peterborough bid for Hogan
at 09:02 9 Jan 2014

I think even if we sold Hogan we shouldn't be too insistant on an immediate replacement.

A lot of football agents and pundits have pointed to this summer being a very difficult one for an out of contract footballer.

I feel we have the depth in the squad (Cummins, George D, Joe Bunney) to sustain a promotion charge with or without Scott and we can bank this money to use for potential out of contract players to consolidate (hopefully) our league 1 position.

Dale NOT a tv match

Even worse than us missing out think about Southend.

You would imagine given Phil Browns connections, League 2 vs Premiership, that tie would have been nailed on for TV.

Shocking

I thought we'd signed him on a perm contract.

We should have retained him. He gives us the option of going short at the back and sides.

The lock-in

I think someone else alluded to the point that the police are now responsible for their own footballing budget.

I was nearby when the first scuffle happened near the ticket office before the game and the police were very conspicuous by their absence.

Usually before and after home games the ground is crawling with them!

Concept Kit Thread
at 11:18 7 Jul 2013

I know this may be controversial and there will be inevitable copyright issues but to show our universal discontent for the official kits couldn't we produce an "unofficial" kit with profits produced going to the Dale Trust?

This would a) ensure that funds are not kept from the club and b) make the club and kit manufacturer realise the importance of properly consulting the fans and making sound commercial decisions.

Rochdale Supporters Game Report Bury B vs Rochdale NW CUP QF
at 22:09 2 Feb 2013

For anyone who is interested!

Game started off badly for us going 1 nil down to a poorly judged defensive header and a good finish from the bury forward.

We got an equaliser not long after with a well flighted free kick finding Jack Forshaw at the back post to tap in. 1-1.

Both teams were fighting hard for control of the match but we got a break down the right our right winger took a shot which their keeper parried and Paul Hudson drilled home to make it 1-2.

As was the balance of play Bury carved out many chances for themselves and went up the other end to equalise with a well taken finish from the left of the penalty box.

Bury conceded a penalty late in the 1st half and Jack Forshaw saw his penalty run wide of the right post.

HT: 2-2

The second half started brightly for dale. Two quickfire goals at the start of the first half from Jack Forshaw and Kyle Davies saw us stretch our lead before constant Bury pressure on our back four showed with a good move from a corner finding the back of the net. 3-4 was the comeback on?

Dale stretched their lead out to 3-5 following a mix up between the Bury left back and their keeper with Kyle Davies on hand to tap home his 2nd of the day.

As ever Bury heads weren't down and they forced a poor back pass from one of the Rochdale defenders and pounced on the chance. 4-5.

Tricky work from the right of the box by Luke Walsh saw him felled by the Bury centre half inside the box. The ref gave a foul and a penalty. Truth be told Rochdale needed this 2 goal cushion as the Bury front line were carving out good chances consistently.

Kyle Davies stepped up and scored. But the ref disallowed it due to him not having blown the whistle to take it. Kyle stepped up again and got his hattrick putting the ball the same way and rippling the net.

Chances came and went for either side but the ref called time to an entertaining game and Rochdale progressed to the Semi Final of the North West Cup 4-6.

Rochdale Team: Adam Stott, Iain Murray, Jack Leeming(c), Rhys Wolstenholme, Joe Ralphs, Jack Forshaw, Luke Walsh, John Barton, Liam Jennings, Kyle Davies, Paul Hudson Subs: Paul Smith-Markl.

I'm going to try and raise the profile of the supporters team by posting reports from our matches. Hopefully the above hasn't bored you all to death and you will take more interest in the lads who always carry the good image and reputation of the club into every game.

I think I remember you. Think you came in and played at Centre half when we were short at Hopwood Hall a couple of years ago?

We've got 10 for the game which will be enough for us to play it but ideally we would like a couple more.

Please let me know if you can make it. We will be splitting the driving between three of the team and we're all staying for the game and coming straight back to Rochdale.

Does anyone know any London exiles that might be interested?

Hi everyone.

Looking to get a team together for the trip to Wycombe on Saturday.

Could anyone interested either send me a message on here or text me on 07920425521.

I need to confirm we have a team by the close of play tomorrow so quick replies will be needed. We're looking to convoy from spotland early doors to get to Wycombe for around half 10/11.

Thanks

We have a few lads in the Rochdale Sunday league. Quite far ranging but 3 or 4 of the lads play for Dicken Green in the 2nd Division, one or two play for Highfield first and seconds and I myself am playing in the bottom division!

Ability is not paramount its mainly character. Just as equally we have people playing regular football for at least 2 or 3 people on the team its their only game of football a week.

There's no training sessions to commit to either.

We do try to remain competitive so teams will be picked on ability but we like to try and include all of the squad in games particularly when we're travelling big distances. Been a while since we've really had to worry about that though because quite often we have a flat 11 or only 1 or 2 subs.

Whilst there have been games where we have had to draft people in, I can guarantee you that all except one of our regular players are dale fans (and he's an oldham fan that has been involved in our supporters team for over a decade).

At least 5 of our players were at the recent FIFA night.

I've been part of the supporters team for a number of years now and I can't remember the last Man Utd fan to turn out for us never mind a group of them!

Rochdale Supporters Football Team

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may know the Rochdale Supporters team has been running for a good number of years and continues to play in the IFA Supporters league.

The main goal is to build relations both with other clubs but also within our own support by playing games on the morning of a matchday either away or at home (ideally against a supporters team of the team Dale are playing that day)

Over the last number of years due to a mixture of work, family and health commitments the size of the squad of players we have to select from has dwindled and we are now in need of fresh blood.

The main ideology behind the supporters team has never changed and our only pre-requisite is that you are a Dale fan.

It has become increasingly important that the supporters team play games away as this gives us a chance to secure the financial future of the supporters (generally the team hosting pays a lions share of the costs and by not playing away we are running at a loss year on year). As such we will need to recruit fans that follow the dale both home and away.

You don't need to follow Dale every away game but ideally it would help.

There is a game tomorrow against Bury A at Goshen sports centre in Bury (BL9 9RG). The kick off is at 11am and anyone is welcome to come down and introduce themselves to the team or just to watch.

The likely next game will be away to Wycombe and anyone that will be available for that game is welcome to message me on here or DM me on the twitter feed.

More often than not Adebola hasn't been waiting in the box and I've found McIntyre to work really hard up and down the flank putting in great crosses. I'd agree that perhaps Pearson isn't getting forward to the same degree but I wouldn't taint them both as poor crossers of the ball.

Full backs cant cross at all?

Don't think you've been to the same games I have this season.

That said the stats are telling a story about a team very comfortable in possession, just need to get that cutting edge in the final third.
