Sometimes managers have a bad time at a club, lose their job, take some time out of the game, and then come back with a resurgence.
We saw the benefit of this with Strachan, who had taken Cov down and whose name was mud up there.
I have to begrudgingly praise Lowe for what turned out to be an inspired appointment.
We are ironically enough also seeing Lampard have a purple patch at Cov, now up to 5th, after he had bad spells at Everton and Chelsea.
And the same seems to be the case for Hassenhutl and Jones.

Ipswich spent better than us.
Delap was a stellar signing; he will go to the very top in the game.
But they will still go down.
Will be interesting to see how they recover next season. |

That would be his ultimate, I guess.
Don’t know if it is too soon for that.
Southampton could do with a decent indoor venue bigger than the BIC to attract big bands and events like boxing.

I missed it, but seems to have been a good atmosphere with loads of Saints there.
Wonder if they could do a bout at a Southampton venue for Garner.

Aye. I would have been on a bus to Bournemouth and probably home about an hour later.
Guess I could have driven to Basingrad and got a train to and from there to London, as I tend to do for gigs up there.
But watching Saints without a few drinks is impossible at the moment…. |

Then I don’t think anybody should be planning any protests at games.
They have their fingers bang on the pulse of the hardcore fanbase.
I am trusting them for their wise counsel on this.

Goes back to whether Solak would sell Saints without also selling Goztepe and Valenciennes, as I have separately previously mentioned.
The value of the other two clubs will diminish massively without the cash from English football to prop them up.
Which therefore leads me to think that Solak would significantly increase the asking price for Saints if a buyer wishes to buy it on its own. |
