I sit I the main stand nr the tds stand and I join in the singing even though it's just me singing but I don't care. I have noticed that just lately there are some that have been singing in the main stand behind me. I love to sing along at the match even though not many will sing in the main stand. jus the odd few
I was shocked to hear about Joe Thompson. My thoughts and prayers are with him and all his family. Get Well soon Joe. I wish you all the best in your recovery
We went home down Sandy Lane there were 2 police vans going down in front of us and two behind us . There were about 6 police walking down and when we got to the Cemetery Pub there was one van parked behind the pub and two or 3 in front of the pub and about 6 police stood on the corner of Sandy Lane/Bury Rd. There were about 4 police vans parked at the top of Roch Valley Way just past the lights. There wasn't a lot of people outside the Cemetery either like there is normally after a match
Yeah i watch it but i don't think its as good as it used to be now its moved to Scotland plus a lot of the characters that were in it have left and there are a some more leaving now that were in it from the start. The storylines are getting worse too
I spoke t Jason Kennedy last night at the awards and he said he was thinking about his contract Can't see that he would have been approached by Barnsley yet. Also went on the Barnsley Forums last night and apparently it say's that Keith Hill is going to be the new boss at Blackburn (that made me chuckle cos obviously nobody over in Barnsley have been infomed he's just signed a 3 year deal to stay at the Dale )

According to Rochdale Online the second man has been relased from hospital and they have arrested a 27 year old man in connection with the inccident. and has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been bailed until July pending further enquires.
I think that basically Port Vale fans are upset cos one they're embarrased about giving us a little tinpot town a own goal. Secondly we rained on their parade. They though when their second goal went it that it was going to be their party and they were going to clebebrate by invading our pitch to celebrate . But they were premature and what they didn't count on was Jason Kennedy's goal which meant' we screwed them over. The constant chants about going up all the way through the match and after their second goal they really thought they 'd done it they were promoted. I did notice that the away stand went very quiet when Jason Kennedy scored. I don't think i've laughed so much when they scored their own goal and celebrated as well. It was a true comedy moment. Yes i did celebrate our second goal cos i always have and will and also it stopped Port Vale fans from clebrating on our turf. There is a saying Never Count Your Chickens Before They Are Hatched !
They were all around the pitch. I sit in the main stand with my husband in the disabled bay and we cound't see cos they were blocking our view . We asked them to move or squat down so we cound see but they just said they were trying to protect the Dale fans from the Port Vale Fans as they were going to invade the pitch, We did ask them to duck down so we could watch the match but they lookd at us as though we were mad and just ingonred us. My husband was n't impressed and was going mad at them. We eventually spoke to the policeman in charge and he explained that they were trying to protect us and i put my case forward about not being able to see and he asked three of them to crouch down which they did and i thanked him. Why they couldnt' do that in the first place beats me. My husband on the way homes said it spoiled the match a little for him which yeah it did too but enjoyed the game anyway
I think that Hilly getting sacked was on the cards when he started to lose game after game to be honest and the writing was on the wall. I'm not really suprised he had been sacked from Barnsley. Having said that i think he is a good manager cos what he did at the Dale was fantastic . Personally i didn't like Keith Hill i found him a bit arrogant and ignorant at time . Flickers on the other hand i have a lot of time for . He knows how to talk to people and always had time for the fans . I hope he does well at Oakwell and think honestly make a good manager wherever he ends up whether it be Barnsley or somewhere else . As for John Coleman he is doing a good job at the Dale and will do very well. I will stand behind him all the way. If suggests to me we should bring Hilly back the answer would be No Chance . I'd rather have John Coleman
Definetly Cheerleaders are top of my list especially like the ones we had at the Dale who were bad and couldn't keep in time to each other and to the music . Very cringeworthy As for desmond and dale they give the younger generation a lot of pleasure . All the lilttle ones love them and go running to Desmond and Dale before the match and at half time too for hand shakes high fives and hugs , but having said that i've seen some very strange mascots at at away matches too. Someone was telling me at Bury match about the time Desmond got arrested for knocking out the opposing team's mascot after it petended to cock its leg up against the goal post so Desmond pretend to hit im and actually did and knocked the mascot out cold. Desmond was then arrested and taken away and made the headlines in the Rochdale Observer t he following day ha ha
He's obviously someone who's a attention seeker and who is trying to wind the fans up on here. I think the best thing to do is not rise to the bait and ignore the attention seeking fool . Up The Dale
if that was a joke then it was a very poor joke andd and not only that is i find your poor joke very offensive. Just because i'm a woman doesn't mean i'm not entitled to my opinion about football. If you go to a home match you will find there are a lot of woman who go to support their team. I suggest that before you sprout yourclaptrap you put your brain in gear, that's if you have one but i seriously doubt it judging from the abslolute drivel that comes from your mouth
Thank you Doris i would like to take you up on your kind offer of tickets for the chinese night. We were supposet to go to the Testimonial dinner but my husband was really ill just before the event and ended up in hospital so he didnt go and i went on my own. He was really disappointed as he is a big fan of Gary Jones and couldn't go and i ended up going on my own. We couln't afford the tickets for the Chinese night but have been to the Curry nights on preivous occasions and have always enjoyed them. He was a bit disappointed when he saw who the guest speakers were and knowing Gary Jones would be there too and knoiwng he could 'nt go so i know he will made up plus he doen't really get out much socially as it's diffuclut ( except for going to the Dale ) Again Thank you for your very generous offer we do appreciate it
