Thought the weather could be an issue after yesterday`s rain. Haydock Park races were abandoned after 3 races (mid afternoon) due to the amount of standing water. It has rained non-stop here this morning since 8am ! |

That also definitely happened at the Mansfield v Newport League 2 playoff game. The coin was tossed, and penalties were taken at the Newport (away) fans` end !! |

Terrible News. RIP Big Man. Always a great person to tell how he saw Dale, whether you agreed or not. A top bloke. Organised lots of Dale Away excursions over the years. Commiserations to his family and friends |

i don`t think that dropping Jones is the answer. JK and Jonah know each other games, and are both good at "breaking up play" in a 2 Man midfield. Jonah gets forward (possibly too much at times), whilst JK sits and mops up. Did OK against PNE in both games. Eyre tried Jonah and Tutte in midfield, but Tutte tends to shield rather than tackle and for a playmaker has a tendency to play too many square passes. In some Away games, Dale could consider playing Tutte in midfield as well, and playing 4-3-3 to give some protection for the Home team coming forward. ie : Play BOG, Ormerod, and Adams up top. Just an alternative suggestion. Use JLAA as an "impact" substitution, as his form is very inconsistent. Our AWAY form is 2nd worst in the Division with 2 wins and 2 Draws from 12 Games, and a mere 8 points. We need changes to bring about an improvement. |

I think this comment has hit the nail on the head. The wingers and full backs need to be providing the forwards with better service from wide positions. Dale midfield have been used to breaking up play in recent seasons, then either playing it wide to get the ball into the box or upto COG in wide left channel. Its obviously been difficult this season with frequent change of forward players under Eyre and no proper tall Centre Forward. Too many times, there has been no-one in the box when a situation has been created. This season, especially at home, Dale have got into some great positions out wide but the quality of some crosses or lack of people in the box has left a lot to be desired. It is OUR FUTURE RESULTS at home that will determine that Dale stay up. Obviously we will need some points from Away games as well. To date, our Home Form is 18th best in the Division with 2 Wins, 6 Draws, and 4 Defeats ; 13 Goals For, and 17 Against. ONLY 4 HOME DEFEATS in 12 GAMES. We need to be scoring more goals at home which will hopefully bring more wins instead of draws, to which the performance v Preston was most encouraging with the addition of BOG. We are also missing the goals scored from corners by Craig Dawson UP THE DALE !!! COME ON - lets get behind Beech and Kidd, especially at Spotland. |
