Whilst his no-yes move was a mess I don't think it right to judge him on this. The last 4 years + have been great. A trip to Wembly, another play off, a great promotion season, a fantastic first year in League 1. Has this been the best 4 years in the clubs history (probably). Not only has he got himself and Flicker a lot of praise the pair of them have moved this Club forward and Chris D had some well put points on this in his "Chaiman's statement". It's just a pity the town did not respond with their "bums on seats". So Craig goes Premier, the boss goes Championship and with all the "ex-files" successes surely now is the time to say "if you want to get on - come to Rochdale". Not many times we can say that about our home town, is it !!! |

How can we do anything but wish Craig good luck, he brought excitement, involvement and a real connection to the fans. It must be a great source of pride to the Management team to see where he started and where he is now. And don't forget that rarest of things for Dale, a decent sum of money. |

Came from Norfolk to watch, still hoarse from all the shouting/singing (55 and felt 15 again). I met up with and brought along another couple of old codgers/work mates (one Sunderland the other Swindon T), they were well impressed, didn't realise we played so well. Magic moment, Craig D encouraged more noise when we had a corner, he made sure the Ref wasn't looking!! |
