My favourite player (next to Trunds). He had it all like Keane. He could score, tackle, worked his socks off and his attitude was incredible. Will never know if he could have made it in Prem but I personally think he'd have walked it. |

Super hero? No. Desperate man - yes. He's seeing his country being eroded away in front of his very eyes with land being taken by Russia the aggressors. Russia who didn't keep up their end of a previous ceasefire and prisoner exchange. They/Putin will never be be happy until they have all of Ukraine back within Russia's control. So yes, Zelensky is desperate and fighting for his and his country's independence and sovereignty. Putin will not stop now with a new peace deal, it will simply stall until the next invasion when Russia have the opportunity to invest and improve their armed forces (particularly when money starts flowing back into the country with sanctions lifted). Why is putin so concerned about Ukraine joining NATO? Because he knows his ability to freely attack them in the future will not be without consequences. Whilst at the moment he can do what he likes when he likes and he will continue to do so until he has the entire region again. And when he gets away with that Scott free..... Where next? On Trump/Vance - I'm not saying they don't have some relevant points, and genuinely want to shut the war down as quickly and with little disruption as possible. But the "welcome" they showed another world leader who they have publicly backed (as a country under Biden not Trump) was truly disrespectful and childish. The American public should be absolutely embarrassed by their leader(s) behaviour, sadly, I suspect they find it funny and patriotic. A very sad and dangerous state of affairs. But there is no potential is there? There's nobody near experienced enough. I have no doubt that one day we will see a female football manager in the football league even possibly premier league. But we're probably at least 15-20 years away from that even as a starting point. |

I suspect they'll want to see how the next couple of weeks go, pick up another 9-10pts in the next month and they'll think everything is rosy and they can put a fantastic spin on things "we acted quickly and decisively to remove the previous manager to ensure things were turnaround" Perhaps also wanting to make progress and give some positive updates on Darlings contract situation as well as a new manager (although I think we're all expecting Sheehan to be here until the end of the season). Maybe they think us swans fans are very fickle with very short memories. They can run... But they can't hide! |

Mississippi Burning is an excellent film as is crimson tide. But my favourite Gene Hackman film is Runaway Jury. He plays a brilliant narcissistic character, and plays it brilliantly well. 95 is a good innings fair play. |

I'm not sure of the reason or motivation, but it looks clear to me that Vance and Trump had an agenda to set Zelensky up for an argument from the moment he arrived. They clearly wanted it caught on cameras for the world to see rather than discuss thinks in private chambers which is the normal course of action. Very childish. Someone needs to remind trump this is an incredibly serious and sensitive matter. Not a game show to flex muscles or try to improve popularity. As for Vance.... He seems like a pretty nasty piece of work. |

I don't care about Gender. If we thought a manager would be able to motivate players, coach players to be better, and out manoeuvre opposition with tactical nous picking up crucial points, then man or woman doesn't matter. But I'm not even aware of ANY female coaches in the first team set up of the 72 professional clubs of the English Football league so to think a gem is going to be found and taken a punt on with absolutely zero experience required is laughable. Genuine question, do any professional teams in the English system have a female employed as part of their first team coaching set up? I'm not talking Dr's, physios, personal trainers, dietician or analyst type roles here, I'm talking those who are out on the training ground improving technical and tactical knowledge through training sessions? |

No - I don't want a female manager just because of her Gender. If there was one/some who stood out as some ok neni would consider good enough with the relevant experience, then maybe. But there isn't. |
 | Forum Reply | Richard Montague confirms Swansea Independent report at 14:32 1 Mar 2025
You could be right, but he may be happier being a decent championship centre back earning and extra 10k a week. Especially as he probably has 7-9 years of his playing career left (at this level). If he could see genuine progression with us with potentially pushing for a promotion in the next two years he may want to be a part of that and have a crack at the prem. But reality is, he's probably lacking confidence (as most supporters are) in that department. |

Agreed, unless they have their sights on a top target or short list of options I suspect they'll wait to see who becomes available in/before the summer. Will also depend of course which league were playing in by then! |

Wish him the best. He tried and failed as has many before and no doubt will in the future. Right decision, and hopefully we'll start to see things change on the pitch with some tactical changes and a new voice. Hopefully this is the springboard to being a more progressive club and not paper over the cracks. |

My question to Mr Coleman: "Given we have won only 1 in 10 games, why do you have faith that Luke Williams is still the man to lead the team and steer us to safety, and at what point do you think his position becomes untenable like the majority of fans currently believe?" |

Uranus. But I stand by my observation. No end product, it hasn't clicked, but there is a very slight improvement (in my humble opinion which I'm entitled to ☺️) |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke City v Swansea City : Match day thread at 15:40 15 Feb 2025
The end product isn't quite there (yet) but I think there's a definite difference in our play. We're not keeping or dallying onto the ball for the sake. We're passing quickly and much more directly too mixing it up a bit. Style wise it's a bit better. |
