Was a great evening Baltimore - a really relaxed, chilled out night/event. Martin Fry has got an autobiography out, hence the tour. He was sat in an armchair answering questions about his life and growing up in Sheffield with the punk movement & then the new romantic scene, etc. He was good friends with many of the bands around back then as they used to appear at the same venues & festivals. He'd then get up to the mike & sing many of ABC's hits (acoustic) before answering more questions & so on. I've seen two other bands I love this year in Oxford at different times, Squeeze & Level 42, but ABC were streets ahead in both sound & sheer class I saw ABC at the New Theatre, Oxford in 2022 and again earlier this year at The Forum, Bath. Fabulous night both times. As you probably know, ABC do an hour of their hits & after a break, they do the entire Lexicon of Love album with a full orchestra. Martin Fry still sounds terrific all these years on & has still got a great voice. I did ask him on the night if he was going to tour next year & he said he was hoping to tour with the full orchestra again in 2025, so keep an eye out mate. |

Good man... although I am counting on you to help rub some soothing cream into my heavily bruised and swollen ballsack afterwards cockle. It won't be for the squeamish. Either way, it'll be less painful than watching Russell Martin's current Saints team play. |

I went to the Thornden Hall a couple of weeks ago for an evening with Martin Fry (of ABC fame). Great little venue to be honest. Martin Fry was answering questions about his life/ABC etc and sang a lot of songs with a stripped back acoustic band. Very personal venue if you know what I mean. And I spoke to the man himself for a few minutes & had my photo taken with him too. No queues at the bars either! #oldgreygroupie |

You all deserve a medal more like - 22 carat solid gold with "I kept the faith at Molineux - WTF was I thinking?" engraved on it. Poor bastids... |

Probably because it winds up the woke lefty cry babies like you who didn't get their way? Meanwhile, some of us really couldn't give a sh1t who won. |

But... he is entertaining though - and at least the BBC are all wearing black armbands today which, in itself, is very gratifying. Anyway, will Trump even make it to January to be inaugurated? I think there's a long list of people who would like to make sure he doesn't! |

To be fair we weren't THAT bad at City last weekend & did follow that up with a cup win midweek against Stoke. A few days on and our first league win of the season is very, very welcome indeed. More of the same against Wolves is required. We have a lot of ground to make up. What price three wins on the bounce? |

That'll be a mere £8m per day. While Italy manages to send their illegal immigrants to Albania & Germany is considering using UK-funded, already built accommodation in Rwanda to process migrants, Kier Starmer reckons having a strong word and a stern telling off to the smuggling gangs will suffice. |

Let's be honest, we were at our level tonight. Two Championship teams slugging it out. A win is a win of course, and we'll gladly take that. But... see you again next season Stoke! |
