Does anyone know if the rain covers are actually at the stadium?

We lent our own covers to Accy Stanley on Tuesday so their game could go ahead which it did......are they still lying around in BB5 or has someone gone to retrieve them?

A relayed pitch is the answer to all our problems.

It will be immediately put down and playable and will last us at least 18 months until the summer after next.

There will be no further postponements and there will be no visible turf lines or evidence of turf slippage beneath players feet of big divets being taken for innocuous tackles as the turf fails to mesh or bed in.

All will be happy and we wont need a pitch inspection until 2 hours before we are due to play Port Vale next Tuesday as there is no chance the game will be called off.

The sooner it starts the better.

With respect, it is unlikely that relaying the turf will resolve any of the underlying drainage problems. If it rains the pitch will still be waterlogged, the new turf will not have any chance of taking hold to the surface and the Tottenham game will be postponed and over a third of a million quid will literally lie on the surface of the pitch as a testament to the failures of the groundstaff and directors.

The dome should have been kept over the pitch until today's kick off and replaced immediately after the game. Even if a new surface is put down and does prove to be playable by next Sunday, there is still every chance that remaining fixtures will be postponed if drainage issues are not addressed. Sending the dome back early or failing to use it has ruined the season by totally destroying the pitch

In Simple terms, the water table locally is overflowing, there is nowhere for the water to run to naturally and what cannot go down drains will not simply run away. Each spell of rain will simply lie on the surface whatever the surface happens to be, new or old.

This pitch was meant to last 18 months. Why hasn't it been looked after well enough to even last 12 months?

Why aren't we putting down sufficient rain covers overnight? It's Rochdale in February. They cannot say this is unexpected.

Our ground staff are incompetent and should be removed from their roles, if they haven't already been fired. In any other job, causing this much trouble for your employers would see you fired. Why not this one?

It's got beyond the "let's be nice they're doing their best" stage. This is farcical and we are a national laughing stock.

The dripping sarcasm should have been obvious with my mention of us playing Port Vale on Tuesday, 2 hours notification.

All just a little bit of history repeating.

Poll: DF in or out

There’s a statement going out shortly. Just been down to the club for Spurs tickets.

Was told the pitch will be re-laid.

Was at the ticket office this morning around 10-30am to pick up Spurs tickets and didn't know there was a pitch inspection going on at the time. Use Rosler was just leaving the main entrance and there was a few people and a tractor at the corner of the Pearl Street/Main stand entrance. Also a second tractor inside the ground at the corner of the Sandy/ Main stand. Seemed pretty obvious they were preparing to start some work.
Would definitely expect the pitch to now be fully re-laid. My concern would be given the current conditions and forecast for the week would a new pitch settle and be playable by next weekend?

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

I must admit, I thought I'd had a Life on Mars moment and been transported back 12 months.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Well, it won't need watering... 😨

Someone's gone to retrieve them. The same chap who updates the fixtures board after each home match.
