Transfer Deadline day 06:09 - Aug 31 with 13149 views | EasternJack | So, down to the last few hours with EPL window closing at 11pm today. Looks like it could be our busiest yet. Personally I can't wait for the speculation to end and get on with the season with a fixed squad. I think we have enough to survive as is (barring a few key injuries), but the potential to do so much more if we get the next few hours right. Positive.

Transfer Deadline day on 06:22 - Aug 31 with 8147 views | EasternJack | As it stands (from media reports - someone else can add the odds) Arias - looks like this was a smokescreen by our board or various agents. Unlikely to happen. Bony - looks like terms agreed with player and club. Waiting around for Llorente to go has opened the door to Verona. I'd still expect us to land this if Llorente deal is done early enough as Versatile an are only offering City a loan. Llorente - Final negotiations with Chelsea. I sense conflict on their side on whether they spend this money on him. A lot will depend on Conte (and possibly Costa). Spurs coming in (if serious) should get focus on this early on. Sanches - looks like an open path for us on this. Seems an expensive loan, but exactly what we need if we're talking "next level". Fingers crossed until this one is done. Nelson Oliviera / Jansen - lining up backups if the Bony deal falls through and Llorente goes. For me, it's Llorente or Bony - nothing else. Chadlin- this one won't go away. Personally I now see this as a backup option if the Sanches deal falls through. We may still do the d all if we can get it for the right money. An extra CB would be nice too, but realistically this window is already shaping up to be our "best" and shows real intention by the board to take us to the "next level"

Yup could be our busiest final day. Hope our medics, back room staff and naturally DOF are ready! Not IKT but Chelsea mate of mine reckons they'll offer Remy as part exchange for Llorente. Batshuayi is also unsettled, but as we can't loan more from Chelsea, too expensive unless Bony deal falls away. Lorrente + £13m for Batshuayi?
Transfer Deadline day on 07:18 - Aug 31 with 7966 views | Kerouac | Nelson Oliviera is not good enough. This had better not be served up. Not too keen on Spurs dumping their expensive f*ck ups on us either,

Transfer Deadline day on 08:31 - Aug 31 with 7840 views | dameedna | Sanches, Chadli and an experienced striker if Llorente moves on would be ideal. Shane Long would be good. A back up right back and cntre half if we are going to use wing backs. Bound to get injuries and a cup run would be good this year.
Transfer Deadline day on 10:57 - Aug 31 with 7758 views | EasternJack | Update from BBC Sport: "Swansea are still confident of signing Wilfried Bony from Manchester City. Italian side Hellas Verona want the striker on loan, but City only want to sell Bony on a permanent deal. West Brom winger Nacer Chadli remains keen on a move to the Swans, but the Welsh club are reluctant to meet the Baggies' £26m asking price. Chadli is part of the Belgium squad preparing for tonight's World Cup qualifier against Gibraltar but his manager, former Swans boss Roberto Martinez, would allow him to leave in order to complete a transfer."

Transfer Deadline day on 12:32 - Aug 31 with 7662 views | EasternJack | Update from BBC "It's just paperwork standing in between Swansea and confirmation of Renato Sanches loan move from Bayern Munich. Sanches is away on international duty with Portugal U21s whilst the formal bits and pieces are being done that will bring him to the Liberty Stadium next month. Fees have now been agreed with Manchester City for striker Wilfred Bony believed to be in the region of £12m. He's set for a medical today as he closes in on a return to South Wales after leaving the club for the Etihad in January 2015." Also - Llorente fee agreed with Spurs

It is the very reason they left Jenkins in charge. It will be interesting to see how things pan out this season if we leave this window top of the pops on profit.

Can someone explain to me how the new owners have not shown commitment to improving our club and playing team since they arrived? Assuming we land today's targets, they would have overseen the incoming of: Mawson Olssen Mesa Ayew Narsigh Llorente Carrol Clucas Abraham VDH ---- Bony Sanches I must be blind, because I see that as a massive squad improvement on what Monk left us with. Add to that, the overall (club) investment for the above transformation is over £100M:All done within our means, reducing wage bill and improving our commercial potential. Look past the xenophobia and association with the corrupt past.

Transfer Deadline day on 14:25 - Aug 31 with 7291 views | EasternJack | From the BBC feed: "Swans need to spend wisely Swansea City Jim White, owner of Swansea City fans' site www.scfc2.co.uk: If you surveyed 100 Swansea fans, I think 85% of them would say the club needs two or three new additions to ensure we don’t have another tough season! The Sigurdsson saga took far too long to get resolved and left the club needing to make improvements in the forward areas as Gylfi was responsible for a lot of our goals as many pundits tell us! He was a great player for us but finding that ‘hidden gem’ is difficult and we don’t have the resources to spend £30m+ on one player. The club have brought three new players who have all been well received but it's fair to say none of them have made fans go ‘wow’. Roque Mesa was brought in to replace Jack Cork and looks like a good player, but will take time to get used to the pace of the Premier League. Tammy Abraham looks a decent young talent but its asking a lot of a 19-year-old to be your main source of goals throughout a season. The signing of Sam Clucas is I think an astute buy and his ‘English lower league roots’ fit well at the club but I am not sure we will get 15 goals a season for him. We need another forward that can take the pressure off Tammy, an attacking midfielder that can create and score goals and I think we need a new winger/wing back to challenge Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson. Will Renato Sanches do for 'wow' factor, Jim?"

Renato Sanches aside, can't say I've been blown away by our businesses. Absolutely gutted we haven't signed Arias - virtually impossible as he's probably playing at 10 tonight. One thing that was clear, Llorente staying was clearly never on the cards.

Yes. Llorente was never king to stay - his interview in June pretty much confirmed this. I think our squad is a major improvement on 18 months ago. It needed extensive change and the owners have delivered that in a financially sensible way. Replacing Rangel (ideally with an upgrade on Naughton) remains a gap - but from what I see, it's the only weak point left. As a caveat, unless he gets miracles from montero and narsigh, PC won't be playing with wingers this season

Transfer Deadline day on 20:20 - Aug 31 with 7035 views | Kerouac | Clement said he wanted 2 BEFORE Llorente was officially on his way out. We have replaced Llorente with Bony, fair enough, and signed only Sanches...who is a wonderful acquisition for a season but he doesn't play attacking midfield, wing or right-back. ...and we have £30 odd million sitting in the bank ...and no specialist left-back cover ...a footballing pensioner covering right-back ...and only 3 centre halves for at least 2 months, 1 of whom is a youngster with 1 good season under his belt and the other is a total novice in the Premier League with zero pedigree. Why have we allowed this situation to develop? I don't blame Clement. Sanches had better be f*cking special.
