Too young to have seen the 80s team (just). I'd love to have seen how Bodde did in the Premier League. Plenty were questioning whether Leon, Rangel and Ash could make the step up. I'm pretty sure he could have too.

We had a 5 a side team up the howzat when we were about 17/18 and used to lose more than we won. I remember one week playing top of the league. Should have seen their faces when Tommy turned up with us. Fair to say we won that match

The biggest club Robbie James played for in his career was Stoke. No Man Utd, Liverpool or any of the top sides of his day. Worth as much as Bale now? Nah.

That's not to play down his status as a club legend. He clearly is and rightly so, but there's a certain level of sepia tinged hyperbole when people look back at that team. Many of the players who have appeared for us since 2011 have achieved more than that side, yet don't get half the acclaim.
