Robinson is a bit of a surprise! Where's that come from? Broken toy with bags of pace and ability if I remember rightly
Released by Port Vale (scored a cracker against us last season). Also scored against us for Doncaster previously. Remember him having good games against us for Hereford and Huddersfield in the past I think. Bags of talent and amazingly still only 27!
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Hilly never forgets players who've done well against us. Probably explains why he signed 75% of the Stockport play off team.

Only 27, but according to the first paragraph of Wikepedia he's been around a bit (which suggests some scope for toy repairing):
Theo Larayan Ronaldo Robinson (born 22 January 1989) is an English-born Jamaica international footballer; he was released by League One club Port Vale in May 2016.
He began his career at Watford, making his debut in the Football League in April 2006 and his debut in the Premier League in May 2007. He was loaned out to Southern League side Wealdstone in 2007, and then League Two side Hereford United, and scored 16 goals in 52 appearances to help Hereford win promotion in the 2007—08 season. He spent the 2008—09 season on loan at Southend United, and was sold on to Huddersfield Town in July 2009. He was loaned out to Millwall in September 2010, and joined the club on a permanent basis in January 2011. The following month he was loaned out to Derby County, and joined the club on a permanent basis in the summer. He rejoined Huddersfield Town on loan in February 2013, and was sold to Doncaster Rovers in August 2013. He joined Scunthorpe United on loan in March 2015. He signed with Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in August 2015, and moved on to Port Vale in January 2016.
Vale fans don't rate Robinson although they say he didn't get many games last season...
Not good in the air is one criticism, then someone posts :-
Not for me, great game against Rochdale but that's the only time he's been any good, even when he scored (due to really bad keeping) against Colchester, he was awful in my eyes for the rest of the game.
If it's an attempt at convincing us to give him another contract, it's come too late. Quality goal & performance but it's easy to see why his record with so many teams is why it is. I think he'd sit in the team, score a few, look alright now & again, but would be another player who we'd be carrying once we've sussed him next season.
At 27 he still hasn't pinned down a place at any of the clubs he's been at, hasn't scored more than 16 in a single season (09-10) & has been shoved out on loan at every single club (bar Motherwell, who he only played 11 games for). Most of what I've read points to it 'just not working out' with him, & ending up on the sidelines.

Absolutely bags of talent, scored at Championship, league 1 and league 2 level, if anyone can get him to fulfill his potential then Hill can. I'd sign him in a heartbeat if he's available.
