In the sort of speculation which inevitably follows a high profile cup win, our good old friends at Sky Sports Understands have linked Hogan with a move to Peterborough United.
The story came out on Wednesday evening following a tweet by Sky reporter Pete O'Rourke who said that Darren Ferguson's team had made a move for Scott Hogan following his goal against Leeds United at the weekend.
To put this into some sort of context, this was one of a large number of tweets regarding transfer action by the Sky reporter as transfer window speculation kicks in. The Posh have a number of recognised strikers within their squad, with top scorer Brett Assombalonga having scored seventeen goals for the promotion seeking League One side already this campaign.
Hogan is currently just a few months into a two year contract at Spotland, with an option for a further season.
