Yes, the owners are the cause of the mess. My agreement with Res was in his belief that Cullen doesn’t have the ability at this level. I certainly don’t agree with his defence of the owners. It puzzles me.
We are in a mess and I fear that this season may see us drop down the league unless there are three worse teams than us. At the moment, having gone 5 games without scoring, the table is fibbing a bit! |

Someone’s worked us out
For me it those stats reveal poor quality in the final third. Consistently. They've actually averaged more than 66% possession across their last 5 games - including 67.6% at Blackburn and 66.1% at Sheffield United.
But they failed to score in any of them.
A cursory look at their forum will tell you that whilst they have a solid defence and clearly players who are comfortable on the ball, their attack is blunt (and they are already desperate for January reinforcements).
It looks as though, if you get in front they'll struggle to break you down. They haven't scored a 2nd half goal since 17th August ffs (or a 2nd half goal, away from home, all season).
‘They're a poor Championship side, at this point. In fact, since Luke Williams took over there, only Cardiff and Plymouth (of the sides who were in The Championship last season and this) have picked up fewer points in that time.
I think they'll continue to do their possession thing - and that suits us. Let them have the ball, do their tippy tappy 'we're better footballers' nonsense and then hit them when we get the chance.

The MP will say that threats were made against him because that’s what he said at the time. What that threat amounted to we’ll have to wait and see. |

The ball he played out on 90 mins which didn’t hit his mark, was intercepted easily and resulted in their winning goal. It was a long kick trying to find Tymon (?) who was then well out of position when the ball didn’t reach him. Doing similar in the first half or up to 70 mins gives us time to get back into the game if it goes wrong. On 90, there’s little chance. |

That’s a good point fair play. He could have made some vile comments about stabbing him or made reference to other MP killings and gave the impression he was holding a weapon in his pocket. That said and if that was the case, his first action after subduing him should have been to phone the police to report him not to hand himself in.
It will be interesting to see what comes out in the wash but the optics aren’t looking good fo4 him. |

Unless he was about to blast him with his laser eyes there’s no way that was self defence.
Maybe for the one punch he could get away with a suspended sentence, though given his position I’d still say he should go down. But for the prolonged attack whilst the guy was on the floor should see him banged up. |

Have you seen the various angles of the attack?
No signs of a physical attack and a sucker punch followed up by a barrage of punches whilst on the floor. It doesn’t matter if he was insulted by words, it was unreasonable force whichever way you look at it. He should have walked away but he looked three sheets to the wind and not in control.
This is a custodial sentence in waiting. Well, it should be. |

Vigouroux’s distribution can be hit and miss, there were a few in the game that didn’t hit their mark. Therefore, at that stage of the game he shouldn’t be playing those sorts of passes out when there’s a good chance of giving away possession. It was a big mistake but we can’t criticise because he’s saved us too many times this season. He’ll know though! |

Totally agree. Even if others have received suspended sentences this fella should be made an example out of. The repercussions of him effectively ‘getting off’ could be massive. |

Made the point myself about the slow ball to a static Ronald in the past. He needs to hit the ball at speed.
Totally agree with us not being as defensively great as our stats may suggest. Good keeping and bad finishing as you rightly say has kept the GD respectable. |

The lack of movement is something that gets my back up. You’re right, that’s not coaching, that’s basic football awareness.
I watch sometimes and when a player has the ball and there’s an opposition player in between one who could receive it, they stay there instead of moving to give the ball player the option. It’s basic stuff. |
