There is much that can be said about the owners, but steps to cut our cloth and not gambling on an early return to the Premier League is proving to be one of their better decisions, especially in light of the COVID-19 situation. That said Jazz Richards is definitely not on the list of players I would like to see at the Liberty next season right alongside Neil "20 minutes to take a throw" Taylor. |

...the Swansea City medical team. Seems that they have a cut man that would make any boxer jealous the way that they patched up Joe in like 2 minutes. |

There is also the psychological effect on opposing teams when the gap is two or more goals compared to when they are only one behind. While a lot of the time this season we have closed out one goal leads, there have been many occasions when we have not and many of those were teams throwing the kitchen sink at us because they were only one down - if they were down by two or three then usually most teams will just focus on not picking up daft injuries or cards that will hurt them in the next game. |

I have to hand it to him, I have given Aldo plenty of stick this season in the games he has played where he looked way off the pace and didn't seem to offer any threat at all. Today however was his best game for us by a country mile, admittedly it was helped by Huddersfield giving him the freedom of the Liberty in the first half and we can't except every team to give him that amount of space. That said however he was exciting to watch and I had hopes every time we got the ball out early to him so that he could isolate defenders and create something. One good game doesn't completely change my opinion on him, but I would definitely be happy to see him get more game time based on this performance. |
| Forum Reply | Guehi at 00:08 15 Feb 2020
For the last couple of games I have thought that Guehi had seemed as clumsy as a newborn deer. That impression wasn't helped at all in tonight's game. His positioning also feels all over the place, it was partly down to his awful positioning that Bidwell had to come in out of position leaving Da Silva wide open to score the opening goal. On top of that he seems to have a really poor ability judge the flight of the ball, several times I have seen him stoop to header a ball that should be controlled or cleared with his feet (some of them below waist height!). I really hope that there isn't some kind of clause in the loan agreement that forces us to play him, because right now in central defence he is definitely the weak link, and I have seen a few big strikers play off him and man handle him, getting a lot of joy out of it. |

My impressions of Peterson haven't been great, while he is quick and likes to run at players his distribution in transition from defence to midfield has ranged from average to terrible. There were a few instances of hospital passes from him that resulted in a turnover of possession and from there directly into a goal for the opposition. If we could keep him consistently on the front foot then there is a real player there, but its the other side of his game that I feel has been letting him down. |
| Forum Reply | Conor Gallagher at 10:06 19 Jan 2020
Sinclair wasn't a loan signing :) On topic though, Gallagher was impressive. At times I thought that there were two of him on the pitch he seemed to be everywhere all at once. His assist was well crafted and you could see the experience of playing with Brewster for England U17s coming up with the goods there. |
| Forum Reply | Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett: Derby County stars charged with drink-driving .. at 22:25 30 Oct 2019
I am sure the cynics will have no issues pointing out that 33 year old who wasn't actually driving and suffers 15 month long injury is sacked while two up and coming players with reasonable resale value who were uninjured and actually the ones who were drink driving were given a six week fine as a slap on the wrist. Can only imagine that insurers refused to cover his wages, Derby offered him reduced salary which he of course turned down so they sacked him to save on his £25k a week wages knowing that there was a very real possibility he would have to retire after an injury that serious which he wouldn't recover from until he was 35. Can definitely see this going to a tribunal and I cannot see how Derby can win. |
| Forum Reply | Capita benefits assessor 'laughed' at disabled woman at 22:21 30 Oct 2019
I have had horrible experiences myself with Capita, you really do have to fight them tooth and nail for every little point that you are entitled to have. When a DWP assessor sits in with you for an Universal Credit assessment for less than 10 minutes before confirming that you are not capable for work or any work related activity but Capita for Personal Independence Payments reject your application and your appeal awarding zero points and you have to fight them through the courts (which finds in your favour) then something is clearly wrong. |
| Forum Reply | Derby County vs Cardiff City at 10:04 14 Sep 2019
Sometimes I can't help but wonder how Cardiff actually score goals, but then you watch some of the utter brain farts that defenders always seem to have against them. There was one point I think it was 75 mins or so in where one defender sliced a clearance which dribbled forward and the other defender next to him turned his back on it and left the ball behind. Derby should definitely have had a penalty while 1-0 up though. |

Could be a great time for Garrick to step up, backup right back 70 minutes in after Ayew has run him ragged. I do always prefer to focus on our players than the opposition though. |

Richly deserved after a phenomenal start, I also love how he was keep to give the credit to the club as a whole rather than focus on himself. VdH unlucky to lose out after 3 clean sheets, 1 goal, 1 assist in 5 games as a defender too. |

To be more specific the encouragement was not to recontract them, since elderly people were less likely to change providers and out of contract rates are higher than being in contract. More a case of profit through inaction rather than deliberately selling an overpriced product, a subtle distinction used to legallly drive profit |

I used to work for both Virgin Media and BT and in both cases would get pulled up for taking elderly customers who were on shockingly bad packages and giving them something more suitable. One example I had an elderly lady who didn't have a mobile, her only family lived like 100 miles away and she would call them every day on her landline racking up like £100 a month in call charges. I changed her to an unlimited call plan on her phone line (which cost like £8 per month at the time) and the powers that be were not very impressed. Nothing gets my goat more than exploiting those who simply do not know any better. Perhaps that's why I was never really cut out for sales and retentions. |
