| Forum Thread | Carlos in the LC at 09:43 30 Mar 2018
Sure it was him the other day, saw my Swans scarf and nodded hello. I thought I saw Bob Bradley last year too, but didn't want to slap him in case I was wrong. What are Swansea managers doing in the LC? Avoiding the players? Or are they just poshing it up living in the marina? |
| Forum Thread | Swansea scouting department at 23:35 19 Jun 2017
Article from the Guardian - most clubs put us to shame in terms of numbers yet we seem to be holding our own https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jun/17/transfers-premier-league-scouti "Swansea City David Leadbeater is the head of recruitment and chief scout. Having arrived in 2010, he oversees a department that has enjoyed considerable success, although some of the club’s transfer dealings came under scrutiny in more recent times, before Swansea regained their touch in the January window, when Martin Olsson, Tom Carroll and Jordan Ayew made a positive impact. Leadbeater, who is credited with spotting Alfie Mawson playing for Barnsley, works closely with Tim Henderson, who looks after recruitment analysis. Swansea have five part-time scouts who cover Europe as well as the UK, with Brian Flynn, the former Wales international, the most senior. They also employ two part-time non-league scouts, one in the north and one in the south. " |
| Forum Thread | My read of 5 games under Curtis at 18:05 2 Jan 2016
We have played brilliantly, Curtis is obvs well loved by the majority of the team and they have played their hearts out for him. But we need a bigger more versatile squad. We need to make the right transfers this window. We need Dyer back. We need two decent young strikers. And we need a God-damn manager. I think we will stay up, too much heart not too. I am encouraged by how we have played. The Manchester games could both have gone our way. I am quietly confident we will be okay. In Jenkins and Curtis we trust. |
| Forum Thread | Money not as big a deal any more... at 16:46 18 Dec 2015
When you look at the Swans past performances, the losses of Man U and Chelsea, Leicester a good chance of winning the league... I think it's a good sign. Was a time I felt like money was ruining the premiership - he who spends, wins... |

We need a manager RIGHT NOW, Curtis is taking advice from other ex-managers and the team need direction. These next two games might be what gets us relegated. And Huw et el are swanning around quite literally on the other side of the planet. Get Poyet for Gods sake, he's cheap, he's experienced, and he already saved one club from relegation. He's the man for the job. |
