have i missed something??? we just secured safety, we are now staying in the premiership!! this was a great point. we dominated the first half and if Jrod and Lambo had there shooting boots on we would have wrapped it up. Sunderland were always going to come into the game and made the most of their 10minute spell by getting a goal. Credit to the players who didn't panic, carried on and got a vital goal to secure safety. if we had played amazing and lost, we would all be saying its not about the performance at this stage, just about the points. When we get the point you still moan. We can now enjoy Sunday knowing we are safe. the boys will want to win the last game of the season lets enjoy the day! looking forward to some new signings in the summer and will give a big thanks to the guys leaving as they got us here. |

Bit harsh on AL. he did ok, just as everyone else did. No one really played that well, can hardly pick AL out. He has just come back from injury, prior to that he was making Ramirez look like a shower of sh*t. England call up, bagged a few goals, scored on his return from injury….the boy is class. That was fox’s best game this season. He is a half decent squad player that might be worth hanging on to come end of the season. Lambert looked knackered, so did Jrod. Puncheon didn’t offer much when he came on but I just think it was one of those game. It’s good to see that Poch is making subs a lot quicker than Adkins would. He is also making more of the right ones from what I can see. Great save from boruc at the end as well.
Only negative was Poch’s jeans, too short and too tight. I think him and NC were going on the piss straight after the game

Good performance, just lacked the goals today. midfield completely dominated again. Lambert seems to be a bit tired at the moment, his body language looks different to me.
Boruc had a very solid game and it does help having a keeper who can catch crosses. No disrespect to Davis but Boruc seems to have a bigger presence in the box which I think takes some pressure off the back four. Never a penalty, not much more you can say about that. Gaston needs to improve. He is so controlled on the ball but i feel he could be doing so much more. Jay Rod is getting better every game and I think his pace is needed at the moment. Lets not forget how young some of these players are still. Shaw, Clyne, Gaston, JRod, etc…..even cork, Morgan and Lallana are still developing.
Great support again from the away fans. I think the support is what will carry us over the finishing line. Keep getting behind them, 6 points from Liverpool and Chelsea!
