I think it's safe to say we are not close to being in a relegation battle and let's not forgot we have had a very good cup final this season...hardly been bad. It's very hard to find game time sfor the younger players so this is really the perfect time to be playing Stephens and giving him game time till the end of the season. Then we can judge if he has the ability to step up. Yoshida is a great servant He is our number one centre back right now......and is doing a pretty good job. It's about keeping a culture and building for next season now. Let's just enjoy it.

Everton appraoch agent
Agent says to koeman 'everton are keen and offering a shite load of cash.....do you want to have a chat with them?
Koeman - 'yeah sure, why not. You need to check with saints first as otherwise im breaching my contract.
Agent - 'Les, Koeman wants to have a chat with everton, we can do this the hard way or easy way'. Can we speak to them please?
Les - ' ok,but let us hash out terms with everton in case Big ron likes what they say'
Everton/Saints - Agree on 5m compensation and give green light for ron to speak.
Ron - 'show me the money'
Everton - 'here it is, this is what we are offering, what do you think?'
Ron - 'seriously, thats double what saints were offering. Ok let me think. I am keen but need some time as i just did a big press conference to say i wasnt interested....like 2 days ago. i actually said i was staying at saints. I will probably say yes but let me get back to you after my holiday'
Everton - 'Ok, have a think and let us know.
Saints - 'Ron thats a lot of cash. I guess your probably going to go. Ron, you can go but let us know first so we can find another manager before the media go mental'
Ron - 'ok, will give you a call when im back.

That Leeds game was such a pivotal moment in the season. Had we lost that, i think it would have had a much bigger impact than just losing those 3 points. He also does a huge amount behind the scenes and has really taken our club to his heart. Hope there is a decent turn out for him |

I feel so bad for Jrod. No disrespect to RL but had things been different i am sure he would have been on the plane instead of Ricky. He is a huge loss to saints and england. He hadn't even reached his full potential yet but was probably englands best striker at the point of his injury. I hope they are just writing this season off for him and focusing on getting him fit for next season....hence the silence. |

I imagine after a closer look, Ronald and co have decided he isnt up to scratch. He has hardly looked the part when called upon. At teh moment we are lacking leadership. Fonte seems to have gone quiet and isnt dominating games as he did last season. Too many big players are off form. Need to get our mojo back asap. |

we are going through a bad spell at the moment, simple as that. We have quality in the side but have lost the rhythm to our game.
I think losing morgan has had more affect on the team than we thought. He was integral to everything from defensive strength, attack and general balance.
We are not scoring enough which is also a big problem. Before, if pelle was off form, mane would score, if he was off, then long would chip in, or tadic, davis also would get some crucial goals. At the moment, it seems everyone is off form.
I thought Romeu looked strong yesterday and hopefully will continue to improve. Soares will come good but we need to give him time. Same as clyne did. Classie will be for next season which gives me hope that Ronald is sticking around. This season is not going to be as exciting as we hoped but lets still get behind the team. One big positive was Gazzinga. He was immense yesterday and showed flashes of De Gae. Best game i have seen from him and i think he should be given another chance while Forster makes his recovery |

It was a miserable game. I think Koeman wanted to keep it tight knowing we could score and conceding would be a big blow. However...the attacking threat was minimal and we never looked like getting a goal. The journey has ended and we need to get back to basics. If we look at the team, we are missing Morgan, Clyne, Foster, Bertrand and Toby.....they are exceptional players to lose and its gonna take time to get back on track. Its not time to panic but time to stay together and support the team. The media will call it a criss but we have been here before. This is a bad run that could be the beginning of a good one. Keep the faith. Koeman is awesome, lets not forget that. |

This is what make European football so exciting. There are lot more scenarios to think about and tactics play a much bigger part. at 1-1, they will surely try to see the game out for a 0-0. There goal was a bit frustrating as you could see him unmarked on the edge for ages. Keeper played well, Pelle and Jrod look like they are starting to gel. Pelle does so much to bring others into the game. He also created most of his own chances. Lets keep behind the team. Watford are talking themselves up quite a bit so it would be nice to get a win against them. We could do with some of those injuries clearing up asap though. |

I think Aldweriereld was a case of him not being honest. Everything was there, he clearly chose spurs over us and pretended otherwise. Good player, gutted he has left but it was his decision. What he was saying in the media did not mirror his actions. |

i think kelvin has been a lot more instrumental than people think. Behind the scenes, everyone mentions his name as the go to man. When people talk about characters they mention his name and i think he has taken the club to his heart. He is clearly moving into a more coaching type role as each manager continues to use him in some capacity. He has been an amazing professional for us and i think a testimonial would be good way of recognizing this. |

such a shame if this is true. I hoped that european football of some sort would keep him for another season and then see what happens next year. Players like morgan and clyne could become legends if they helped us get to the CL. The opportunity to be remembered in the ranks of Le Tissier or Ashley Young?? I know what i would go for. Luckily i trust Koeman to have already targeted replacements which can euqal the standards of Clyne. Lets push our attention to the guys staying and help them push on now. Davis would still walk into most championship sides so i dont think its much of a gamble. He will do a good job till the end of the season. He has always been a great shot stopper, he just doesnt deal with crosses well or comand his box as well. However, he will be fine till the end of the season, plus we have a much stronger defence than any stage kelvin has played previously. It will be interesting to see if Boruc comes back into contention as he was unlucky not to get the nod this season. |

really? i think top 4 would be a much bigger achievement than winning the cup...especially in the context of todays game this season in particular. The cup is always a lottery. To perform consistently high for a whole season and get into the champions league would be a massive step forward.
