I’m not sure about that. I’ve not been taking my Sanatogen. Brilliant response to Saturday. A nervy 45 mins ahead. Hopefully we can unleash Taylor to get a second. |

Wonder how long it took then to build a stadium out of Meccano? Pies won’t be hot enough until half time. Proper non-league. Hope we stuff them. |

The Stasi in Fluro jackets have just given anyone under the age of 50 a thorough OTT search at the turnstiles. Then took one look at me and said “in you go mate” If only they knew, I’m the biggest hooligan here . |

Just looking on the Chesterfield ticketing website, by my reckoning there are 155 tickets already sold in the away end! Looking forward to it. Will our defence be terrified, or will they extinguish Will Griggs. Either way, he will still be the subject of probably the best football chant ever. Never mind the result we just need true grit and a never give up attitude. Injuries will not last forever and anything from tonight will be a bonus. |

Get £33M in debt to make £250k that sounds like cracking business. What with all the Cat 1 academies in London and the farmers just up the road, we just need the UK birth rated to be twice that of India and me might stand a chance of getting the raw materials. Until that happens it’s just as shit an idea as it was the day it started. The proof is in the pudding we’ve been relegated twice, up to our bollox in debt, with a shit squad, having sold all our decent players and it’s only going one way. Soon our only worry will be what colour strip AFC Colchester should play in. [Post edited 21 Oct 22:22]

The biggest joke of all, is that the whole lot of them cannot produce a player to play for Col U, anywhere near as good as Lua Lua or Halford. An utterly useless waste of time, money and resources, yet in goes on and on FFS. |

We don’t have a decent forward that can last 90mins tomorrow night, why’s that? Well it’s obvious, it’s because we need more coaches/analysts. Senior Academy Individual Coach (AKA made up job) Meanwhile we've sold our latest academy product (that we desperately need tomorrow night) to pay for it. Shitfinger has excelled himself these last twelve months. The club is f#cked. [Post edited 21 Oct 17:56]

Adrian Coote, out and out striker, 34 games, 4 goals, his only plus point was that he wasn't Jamie Moralee. Let's not forget that Cureton came through the Naarich yoof team. Reminds me of when we got stuffed 5-1 at Carrot Road and Cureton got a hat trick against us. The faithful were giving him serious abuse, with allegations of self-gratification, only for one of our ranks to shout out "Please refrain from using the C-Word,............ especially now the c##t has scored a hat trick" [Post edited 21 Oct 16:22]

Ex Naarich academy, he’s 21 in March, never played in the league. Played 14 times in Nat League South, no goals and no assists. First impression, if he’s got any talent, he’s managed to keep it well hidden. ……but Joey Taylor was also a carrot cruncher reject and he didn’t get a league start until he was Nearly 20. If Thorn turns out half as good he’ll do fine. |

Indeed, the only certainties in life are: taxes death ..and shit refs in L2. If we want to survive we need to learn to live with that. The four teams that get promoted this year will face shite refs, get rough treatment and still come out on top. On Tuesday, we need men that want to play for the club, not trying to get an Oscar for best supporting actress. |

I wouldn't disagree about DC, IMHO he's not much more than a motivational coach and the numerous poor signings may well be down to him, but has he been backed? I don't see it. The club has trousered a small fortune in the last year or so selling numerous players and almost everything we've signed has been a freebie, that no one else wanted. That doesn't sound like backing someone. That sounds like trying to recuperate your losses. How has anyone been putting their hand in their pocket? We couldn't find the money to keep Smith or McGeehan and we sold Bradley when it's obvious we need him. Would he have signed his 'old boys' if the money from sales had been avaialble? I doubt it. It's been confirmed that incoming cash has gone to feed the white elephant. As for backing the wrong manager, the same arguement could be used for most of the appointments over the last 18 years, so why will the next one be better? There is only one constant throughout our never ending demise. At least with DC/NC we should survive, whereas another cheap, crap, internal appointment and it's good night Vienna. DC bleating that Tovide didn’t get any protection from the ref FFS. Whose fault is that? You’ve let him carry on his pathetic play acting all season, trying to con the ref time and time again and now, understandably, refs walk on to the pitch thinking the number 9 is not fooling me today. What do the 1001 backroom staff at Florence Park actually do? Why has nobody been able to coach the stupidity out of this grown man and get him to realise he is going to waste his career? Everyone needs to step up to the plate at Chesterfield and give 110% for the team, if not we could be in line for a real pasting. …and as for calling for DC’s head, who are we going get to replace him? Wayne Brown? Steve Ball? Maybe it’s Deanos turn? No self-respecting manager will want a career wrecking job at a club where it’s sell, sell, sell to prop up a failing academy that will not give you a single player that’s good enough. There’s no point changing managers, it will just be the same. It’s the way the club is run that needs to change, but it won’t. |

Holy crap DC looks a broken man here, like he's about to give up. Never mind the last 4 years, the 12 before that weren't too clever either, so we're pretty conditioned to this. Not much time before Tuesday, and with the injuries it's difficult to see what he can do. We could certainly do with the rub of the green. [Post edited 19 Oct 22:04]

6 wins in 31 is enough to get anyone the sack, but no one else is going to do any better with a squad wafer thin on quality. We’re predictably paying the price for selling too many good players. Big worry that Samson might not be fit for Tuesday and Taylor has played 104 mins today. WE don’t have any back up. Need a better performance against the Spirites, but realistically its going to be difficult to get anything more than a draw. |

A Friday night away game at the quite unfriendly Racecourse ground, about 25 years ago. I’d driven up very early in the day, because I had matters to attend to in the midlands. At kick off there were about 20 of us in the away end trying to out-sing about 4,000! Unbeknown to me there had been a very nasty smash up later in the day and the motorways were paralysed. Thankfully the CUSA coach turned up just before half time and it felt like the cavalry had arrived! |
