This is a football fan site, not a news media outlet, I write it as I feel it, if a full stop isn't in the right place or i miss out a semi colon, I don't really care.
I am surprised that you of all people will be bothered about whether this site is grammatically correct as you support a club that prides itself on being earthy and about the working class fan, as your self proclaimed leader John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood often tells anyone who will listen in the media that Pompey is a Geezers club and if people can't put up with swearing etc then they shouldn't be going.
From my perspective i'm too old in the tooth for English lessons now, this site has been going for 24 years in August and the fanzine since April 1988, it is what it is. |

We have sold 1,500 tickets roughly speaking for this game, which is a decent amount for a friendly, although I think Oxford may have their hands full when Palermo visit on Saturday.

It reminds me of the scenes when I watched Southport play Rochdale back in the old Division 4 when Hugh Fished managed them there was a bit of a brawl that day on the terraces, 20 a side plus the police |

He is definitely not a person who holds back his feelings, I didn't think he slagged off the club as such, but the people who were then in charge of the team ie the coaching staff who he felt gave him a raw deal. |

Not sure about Rory Delap he cost £4 million, and had 4 1/2 years at the club starting 118 games plus 14 as sub in the League plus a few cup games, in 2003 he played a big part in our season when we finished 8th and reached the FA Cup final.
He got injured in the quarter final and would play only 3 times more that season including a cameo as sub in the FA Cup semi final, but the ankle injury flared up again and he missed the final
A player who played that number of games before leaving can hardly be described as a poor signing given the first 3 seasons we had until relegation in the 4th |

Bizarrely enough I was told that for their game at Banbury Totton Directors were told they would need a jacket and tie if they wanted to enter the directors room for pre match drinks and nibbles etc.
The Northam Club was strictly shirt and tie before they opened their doors to the football rabble in August 2001 |

Not sure what he would be on at Swindon, but I would say Totton would struggle to match that, Brett Pitman never di much above League One whereas Austin still got 12 goals last season for Swindon and has played in the Premier League.
But I cant see when Totton would get money to pay him that much, £2 k a week would be a push |

I know Southport well, it is a nice quiet seaside town, a bit like Bournemouth but without the estates on the outskirts, if it is kicking off their that is a major worry. |
