![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Is Matt O'Riley really that good? at 17:27 30 Jul 2024
He has only played twice for Denmark. He didn't make their Euro 2024 squad. But 3 Brentford midfielders did....... If we are shelling out as much as is being mooted, it is quite the show of faith in our manager. |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | SONG DU JOUR - Ben Brereton Diaz at 12:18 30 Jul 2024
Sorry peeps, have been away at Camp Bestival at Lulworth with bugger all phone signal. Have therefore been slacking on the songs threads. A starter for ten for our new star striker (to the tune of similar ditties for Delgado and Broja among others....) Ben Brereton Ohhhhh Ben Brereton Ohhhh He’s not quite from Chile He was born in Stoke really |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Top 3 worst record transfer signings by Saints at 09:55 30 Jul 2024
1. Carillo 2. Ramirez 3. Vestergaard *** Sulemana would have been right up there if it weren't for the fees paid for Livramento and Ings just eclipsing his fee *** caveat here is that the fees are based on Transfermarkt info.... |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | SONG DU JOUR - Charlie Taylor at 07:13 24 Jul 2024
With the season approaching, is it not time to revisit Nick’s idea of a song for a player each day? Just thought this one up whilst humming along to ABBA; obviously any song has to include a Pompey reference….. Gimme, gimme, gimme A left-back from Burnley Charlie Taylor’s ours now And he hates the Pompey A sure-fire smash you’ll all agree…. |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Brereton-Diaz at 12:27 23 Jul 2024
A few rumours today about us signing him from Villarreal. Don’t know a lot about him, other than him having played as a striker for Blackburn and Sheffield United. |

Following my hugely successful prediction of Saints finishing 16th last season (or was it 17th? Either way it was slightly out....), I now bring you the final Prem table for next season...... 1. City 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. United 5. Chelsea 6. Spurs 7. Villa 8. Newcastle 9. Palace 10. Fulham 11. Brighton 12. West Ham 13. Wolves 14. Boscombe 15. Everton 16. Brentford 17. Saints 18. Forest 19. Leicester 20. Ipswich Awaiting incoming scorn and tearing to shreds of the above...... |

Would be disappointing if we lost him for a pittance, having seen hardly anything of him…..

![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Three goals and two assists in the Championship last season at 10:32 20 Jul 2024
Those are the stats of Sekou Mara. From 29 games in a largely winning team, most of which he came off the bench for. The previous season, he scored one goal in 22 Prem appearances, admittedly in a poor team. At the risk of being accused of starting a witch-hunt, does anybody seriously think those are stats of a player who we can call on to do the business for us in the Prem? His appearance last night should be a cause for alarm. He has had more than enough chances to show what he can do. Time to move him on. |

New 3-year contract. He deserves it. Fair do’s. |

Incoming. Great news if we can do this, particularly at the reported £18m fee…..

Apologies if previously posted. Fabrizio Romano is rarely wrong on these things though…..

![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Top 5 grounds I am excited about going to next season at 13:45 5 Jun 2024
1. Boscombe - If he's playing for us, Fraser would get a battering from their lot. I would love him to score an injury-time winner and then really milk it in front of their fans. 2. Brentford - not done their new ground 3. Palace - always enjoyed going there; I love the earthy feel of the place. 4. Ipswich - best atmosphere of last season outside the play-off games, I thought. We owe them a stuffing or two. 5. Chelsea - I like the safe standing there; decent atmosphere in the away end. Drank in Fulham when we last played there, which I would recommend. Forest also gets a notable mention; not been there in many a year. Fulham is OK as well. Although I don't get as excited about going there as many others seem to. |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Top 5 grounds I am not excited about going to next season at 13:34 5 Jun 2024
1. Wolves - I really hate that away end; deliberately positioned to ensure no atmosphere. 2. Newcastle - great night out; and there it ends. 3. West Ham - decent craft beer place nearby; and there it ends. 4. Everton - it's just a bloody awful view; and we usually lose, unless we have a genius like Nathan Jones in charge. 5. Man. City - well, it would be a tough game...... |

Gone. Gutted TBH. A great player for us over the years. |
![](/images/avatars/1961.gif) | Forum Thread | Top 5 goals of the Season at 12:09 2 Jun 2024
Put together in a bit of a rush, but here goes.... 1. Rothwell v Huddersfield (home) 2. Armstrong v Leeds (Wembley) 3. Fraser v Hull (away) 4. Brooks v Birmingham (away) 5. Walker-Peters v Preston (away) Probably missed out a few which should have been included, in truth. |
