The tactics/formation thing looks like it’s a great distraction from the fact that all the talent in that team were dreadful. I’ve seen reports giving most of them 6’s and 7’s when in truth there were mostly performances that looked like 3’s and 4’s at best. Hopefully the poor fans who are heading to Helsinki this weekend get to see something a lot better from them. It couldn’t be worse, could it?
I’d rather like to know why Cook seems to avoid any criticism? Admittedly, everyone is poor right now but he’s supposed to be leading this defence and it just looks like a shitshow every week. And as for his long balls forward which always land in their keepers hands. What isn’t he learning?
Halfway down the stairs is a stair where i sit. there isn't any other stair quite like it. i'm not at the bottom, i'm not at the top; so this is the stair where I always stop.
Halfway up the stairs Isn't up And it isn't down. It isn't in the nursery, It isn't in town. And all sorts of funny thoughts Run round my head. It isn't really Anywhere! It's somewhere else Instead!
I seem to recall him struggling with something (calf maybe?) in the last 10 mins of the Millwall game. I suspect he was just rested ahead of a 3 game week.
Jimmy Dunne has something to do with it (as usual). There was an interview with he where he explained it was because Frey has a unicorn tattoo and they came up with the celebration on the training ground.
Really great stuff. A few people have commented that Tyler isn't even an Rs fan. Watch this and you'll see that even if he wasn't he is fast falling in love with all things Rangers. Kicks every ball, silently sings all the songs. Great relationship with Andy. Not an easy job to commentate but great work from both of them.
BTW keep your eye on Bannen during the scramble. He stands watching, hopping around just like the annoying kid at school who’s always on the edge of the fight egging them on but never getting involved.
The A40 is even more of a joke at the moment than usual with the HS2 works making the Hanger Lane tunnel single lane. I'd go with the tube option too but I would choose Northolt or Greenford as the traffic can go back to Perivale.
The downside of experience is there is always the temptation to do things “because that’s the way we’ve always done it’. Hopefully Nourry and team are bringing some best practice from what they’ve seen elsewhere and mixing that with some new ideas of their own.
If the club is going to have any kind of edge over other clubs then we should be able to follow our own path to some extent.
So far, so good but let’s hope the plan is a good one.
