Along with Guardiola and Ancelotti, Tuchel is right up there with the very best.
He's won league title in England, Germany and France. He's won numerous cups and theres the little matter of the Champions League.
Compare that with any current England manager.
If England want to be serious contenders to win major tournaments they need the very best manager available. Eddie Howe, with next to no European experience and NO trophies is a million miles from that. |

I thought Gary Neville was going to have an apoplectic fit during his commentary on the Wolves game last night. He was scathing of all the clubs trying to emulate Man City passing about at the back.

To be honest with you Grumpy i haven't got a clue either.
I'd say we have 3 certainties. Ramsdale, KWP, Downes.
If pushed i'd say Sugawara. Bednarek and THB would get in.
This is where it gets difficult. Dibling, Fernandes and Big Les deserve a start, but then so does Amo -Amoyew and Lallana.
As for up top . I haven't got a scoobie.
So it'll be mix and match until RM hits the right combination. |

Forest officially sold out.
Man U not yet officially sold out but looking on the seating plan i couldn't see any empty seats.

That chelsea game was also in the states.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to these friendly results as celtic are a couple of weeks ahead of the English clubs in preparedness for the new season.
In a proper competitive game they would get smashed. |

The problem with this is that clubs aren't at SMS beating our doors down with offers for our players.
We've rejected miserly bids for Tall Paul and ABK which have fallen well short of our valuation and unless we're willing to compromise we're going to be stuck with them.
It's all gone very quiet on the KWP front. I think the club were expecting him to be out of the door by now.
Our other saleable asset is Charlie Alcaraz, but he seems to now have a future here as he's been involved in most of the pre season games.
I don't know where else we're going to recoup any meaningful transfer fees.
It's a worry. |
