| Forum Thread | How about Lallana as interim Player Manager at 22:30 30 Sep 2024
Surely Martin will go after the Arsenal game if not before. We know Adam Lallana was not brought in as just a player, he's here for a role in coaching or Managing. What's the chances of him taken temporary charge as interim Player Manager while SR deliberate on who to appoint as the next permanent Manager. |
| Forum Thread | Lallana on bench with Tall Paul at 19:11 30 Sep 2024
Bit of a surprise Lallana not starting but bigger surprise is Tall Paul being on the bench tonight. Just hope Tall Paul gets on & gets enough game time to show us what we've been lacking (height & power up front). We'll never know if we don't give him a chance. If he can't do it then we've lost nothing. |
| Forum Thread | Sporting lookalikes. at 16:44 20 Sep 2024
Watched the England v Aussies one day Cricket match yesterday & noticed how much Ben Duckett looks like Adam Armstrong. Also I've always thought that Jamie Vardy is a dead ringer for Albert Steptoe (for those who can remember the Steptoe & Son comedy series). I know, I need to get out more before you say it. Anyone think of any more sporting lookalikes. |
| Forum Thread | The only noteworthy thing AA did was to get booked at 17:15 18 Sep 2024
It is blatantly obvious that Adam Armstrong is not good enough to play in Premiership. He looks totally lost regardless of what position he's playing in. He is unable to receive & hold a ball up & offers no threat going forward. He's like Slack Jack Stephens, a good clubman but we cannot afford to carry passengers in this league. |
| Forum Thread | Ten changes to team for tonight against Everton at 18:51 17 Sep 2024
RM has made ten changes to the team for tonight's game. It'll be interesting to see how both Cornet & Fraser perform. And we might get a ten minute cameo from Ross Stewart. [Post edited 17 Sep 18:52]

| Forum Thread | RM's love affair with Slack Jack at tha back goes on at 11:44 14 Sep 2024
This is beyond a joke now RM has included Slack Jack in today's line up against Man U. There must be more to this than us guys realise, why else would he play Slack Jack ahead of 3 new ctr backs (THB + NW + RE) Plus we still have ABK available. But at least there's changes to the side today ( no AA) & Stewart is on the bench. |
| Forum Thread | Sugawara's left peg. at 10:48 3 Sep 2024
After watching Sugawara's terrific strike with his left peg against Brentford I just wonder if its an option to play him Left wing back & allowing KWP to revert to his favoured Right wing back position. Sugawara is obviously more comfortable using his left peg than KWP. It would give us better balance & hopefully more deliveries into dangerous areas. |
| Forum Thread | Meghoma going to Brentford for 10M at 12:51 30 Aug 2024
If it's true that Meghoma is going to Brentford for 10M then I think that's great business for us. I didn't really see him featuring for us any time soon so to get 10M is a bonus. |
| Forum Thread | Another French rookie coming in. at 12:31 28 Aug 2024
Apparently we're close to signing another French lad (Traore) who will be immediately loaned out to our sister club. |
| Forum Thread | 36 hrs left to get a keeper & a striker & a winger. at 10:38 28 Aug 2024
Ridiculous, we've had 2 months to get the players we need & here we are with just 36 hrs to go & we are desperately trying to bring players in. I just don't understand why clubs leave it so late, they end up buying overated players at an inflated prices. We do it every time & end up with the rubbish that other clubs don't want. |
| Forum Thread | McCarthy not totally to blame for mistakes at 19:17 27 Aug 2024
McCarthy is not the only one who is not good at playing tippy tippy across the back. His defenders are not much better at it than he is & are partly to blame. We just don't have the quality to play out from the back successfully. I think we could get by with McCarthy, he's a decent shot stopper, if we stopped trying to copy Man City by playing the risky stuff at the back & just got back to basics. RM needs to accept that most of his players have limitations & stop expecting them to play a game that they are not comfortable with. Successful teams play to their players strengths not their weaknesses. |
| Forum Thread | Bijlow not coming at 16:53 27 Aug 2024
Apparently our efforts to sign Bijlow have failed. It looks like our medical team have flagged up an old injury that means he's not fit to sign. Our search for a keeper goes on. |
| Forum Thread | I think we are overlooking a big problem. Jack Stephens at 22:07 26 Aug 2024
JACK STEPHEN'S. All the time RM shoehorns him into the side we're going to continue to struggle. All this talk about a new keeper & the need for a proper striker we're all overlooking an ongoing problem. RM's love affair with JS is now embarrassing. |
| Forum Thread | Brazilian striker on radar at 20:22 26 Aug 2024
Apparently we have submitted a bid for a Brazilian Striker, I personally don't know anything about him apart from he's a 23 year old striker. It's unlikely that a deal can be completed before deadline. |
| Forum Thread | Playing out from the back, when will clubs learn. at 13:06 25 Aug 2024
Virtually every Premier & some of the Championship clubs have adopted the policy of playing out from the back. Using the keeper as an extra defender & expecting him to be good with his feet. How many games now are affected by calamitous mistakes being made by keepers giving precious goals away. Even Jordan Pickford who's supposed to be the very best with the ball at his feet cocked up yesterday which cost his team a goal. Get back to basics & allow keepers to concentrate on keeping the ball out of the net. Also defenders should take more responsibility and not keep playing the ball back to the keeper unnecessarily. As the legendary Brian Clough used to say " football is a simple game, keep it simple". [Post edited 25 Aug 13:13]

| Forum Thread | I see we are subsidising Goztepe again. at 12:20 25 Aug 2024
Apparently the deal involving Charlie Alcarez leaving for 15M includes the lad Hugo coming in & going straight to Goztepe. I just don't understand what's going on now with our transfer dealings, we could have got more ££'s for Charlie if Hugo hadn't been involved. Why are we wasting time bringing in players for our so called sister club, what do they do for us ?. We don't have the finances to subsidise another club, every penny we have should be invested in players to improve our squad. |
| Forum Thread | Same starting line up as Last week. at 14:00 24 Aug 2024
Understandably RM starts with the same eleven today against Forest. Still no sign of Ross Stewart or Adam Lallana. Be interesting to see if any of the new lads get on late in the game. |
