To the Sketty area, by Olchfa school Couple of questions for anyone; 1/ Is there a really good dog and cat kennels in the Swansea area, preferably combined. Didn't have the problem of pets that needed kennelling from time to time last time I lived there. Really fussy about where my pets are housed when we need to be away 2/ What's the best Chinese/ Indian takeaway in the Sketty/ Killay area? Always find word of mouth is the best way. Hopefully this move will also allow me to make Trust meetings now, as well as make midweek games! Many thanks in advance ladies and gents |

Sorry if this is a ferdy. We whinge that a game is "life or death" but for these lasses it really is http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43167059 "Kelly Lindsey: Afghanistan women's coach says it is 'life or death' for players Spat at, stoned in the street, and having to avoid bombings on the way to training. All because you want to play football." Never train together as an 11 with their manager in attendance. Shows a lot of pampered male players in all our leagues up |

listed for UNESCO World heritage site status "After losing out to Coventry in the contest to become UK City of Culture 2021, Swansea City Council were understandably devastated but a light has appeared at the end of the tunnel from an unexpected source. The city’s ever-changing road layout has made it onto the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural site. The surprise ruling comes in the wake of the recent announcement of a scheme to ensure the road works in the city centre never achieve completion." https://www.the-eye.wales/swansea-city-centre-road-works-granted-unesco-world-he |
| Forum Thread | Now Leighton James speaks out... at 09:29 26 Oct 2017
I know what some people think about him and yes I know he's stating what we all know, but maybe, just maybe he has a point here "It may be that Clement needs help. Do the Board ask him to name his best XI and tell him to stick with it for three or four games? No chopping and changing. At least there would be a consistency and pattern of play. Even if the Swans lose, or it doesn't quite work out, I'd still love to see Clement stick with what he thinks is the best team he has at his disposal for more than one game. At the moment he's making changes every single week, and he's even changing things from half to half at times. That clearly is not working." Personally speaking, whenever I've spoken to him he's always seemed ok. Definitely biased towards us and does want to see us and our club operate at our best as we all do, not matter what league we're in. But then again, would Clement pick 4 or 5 defenders, a couple of goalies to back them up and have every one sitting in our penalty area? |
| Forum Thread | after some information at 20:47 8 Oct 2017
Trying to find out if I can take my granddaughter into the game Saturday for free or if I have to get her a ticket? She's 3 next December. Sorry to ask but I'm still out in Jamaica after getting wedded out here so not willing to spend 3 hrs in a phone queue to the ticket office. Thanks ladies and gents in advance Didn't eat the wedding cake BTW. Last bit of that I eat gave me indigestion and poisoning for 21years😂 |

| Forum Thread | Quo gig at 18:18 17 Dec 2016
Just back from the Quo gig in Birmingham last night. Superb. Really good gig. The responsible one absolutely loved it as well. REO speedwagon were really excellent as well. Hadn't seen them since the mid 80's Totally different atmosphere in Birmingham City centre after the gig to what I remember of Wind St from just 3 years ago on Black Friday- no sign of trouble without a heavy visible Police presence. Work mates/ friends (must have been thousands) etc well oiled and everyone having fun. How I used to remember Swansea from a decade or so ago. All I remember from Wind St a few years ago was fight after fight breaking out. Well done and thanks for a good night Brum! |
| Forum Thread | Football being killed off by technology and social media at 20:18 25 Oct 2016
Just came across this article in the Telegraph about people losing interest in the game. Also goes on about the stupid transfer fees meaning more and more people are just turning their backs on the lot. Our sell out b'stards certainly haven't helped our cause with poor transfer window after poorer window http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/10/25/modern-technology-is-in-danger-of Could the reason actually be "overkill" with the amount of games. I know I start losing interest and really don't feel like watching West Brom V Watford or any other mediocre teams, such as Boro, Sunderland etc. probably even include us to non Swans fans |
| Forum Thread | Silly season is on us already at 21:56 12 Sep 2016
We used to get a month or two off of transfer talk when the window shut. These f**king news outlets can't wait to spend everyone's money. Sh1te site at least http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premiership/liverpool/liverpool-already-ey "Still, reports from Italian website Calciomercato mooting a shock transfer target has sparked debate amongst our Merseyside locals. They suggest the Kop titans are ALREADY casting an eye over Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer, after the Dutchman made a good start to life in Wales." |

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3780337/Roberto-Martinez-wins- "Roberto Martinez wins astonishing£10m pay-off from Everton for sacking... and it could have been more Everton sacked Roberto Martinez in May with three years left on his deal The Spaniard, 43, received an eye-watering one-off severance payment Martinez wanted the £12m he was due to receive, but settled at £10m He agreed to a reduction if his payment was made in one instalment Martinez had signed a five-year deal in July 2014 after a great first term Chairman Bill Kenwright had agreed to a deal that warned off other clubs" Know he had 3 years left on his contract but yet another sign of the inherent madness in the PL. Not sure how long/ much longer all these costs will remain sustainable by any club. Soon as people become switched off from the PL, then no TV company is going to be chucking £Billions at the game [Post edited 9 Sep 2016 3:59]

| Forum Thread | Can't watch any of the posted videos at 08:24 12 Aug 2016
Guessing this problem has been answered numerous times, but the search function on here isn't coming up with anything. I can't watch any of the videos posted. Settings are to "images and videos shown" but just getting a black patch with nothing on it. Can't see any other settings to adjust Was watching them up to the last weekend No problem watching on any other sites eg you tube and the like. AV programmes haven't blocked it as far as I can tell. That and they'd block all sites wouldn't they?. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Will check everything tonight and try and sort it out |
