Iirc, earlier in the month the position was that they didn't want to sell James but needed to balance the books. Given that Wilf, Montero and Carroll are off the wage bill (all on deadline day), maybe they decided the James sale wasn't necessary? In all fairness, the only departure today which stings a bit is Montero, but given his fitness problems and presumably decent wage, it's fairly sensible. |

I mean where to start? You said that 80% of the electorate voted for parties that said, in their manifesto, we'd leave on WTO terms (i.e. No Deal). We'll ignore that dubious figure. You were then provided with quotes from the Labour manifesto in which they said that they'd be seeking a deal that would retain the benefits of the customs union and single market- about the softest Brexit imaginable with trade between the UK and the EU remaining on its current terms. They explicitly said that No Deal (leaving on WTO terms) was not an option. The Conservative manifesto said that we'd be leaving the customs union and single market, but said "as we leave the EU, we want to negotiate...free trade between the UK and the EU's member states". Again, about as far from leaving on WTO terms as possible. And faced with evidence, in the form of policies the Labour manifesto, that are entirely contrary to your bullshit statements, you say that no one has presented a counter argument. It's like you genuinely don't comprehend the words you're reading. Honestly, I know everyone has different opinions on Brexit, but if you think that retaining the benefits of the customs union and single market = leaving on WTO terms, then I absolutely dispair that someone can have so little understanding of the issue after 3 years of this stuff...
