Such sad news but as I understand PW is in coma for two weeks following the fall. Pete is a n absolutely top bloke. Had the pleasure to be on a golf trip to Tenerife a year ago with him and his best mate (another Pete) along with 14 other golfers. The guy is a Cardiff City legend. Loads of people came up to him having recognised him but he didn’t want the attention really. If you haven’t already Googled his goals you should do as total quality from a midfielder. Praying that he pulls through.
Attended this match with my late grandfather. Still probably my best memory of an away game supporting Dale. Burnley threw the proverbial kitchen sink at the Dale goal in the second half but some things are just meant to be.....

Bournemouth 0 - 4 Rochdale Chris O'Grady scored twice as Rochdale thrashed league leaders Bournemouth to close the gap at the top to two points. The home side went behind when O'Grady found Chris Dagnall on the stroke of half-time, then O'Grady converted from Dagnall just after the hour mark. Simon Whaley ran unchallenged to score before O'Grady completed the romp two minutes later with a well-taken fourth.
Final table based on point accrual thus far (given that most of the top 9 teams are 78% of the way through the season) and that each team will continue to accrue points at the same rate:
Great point on the day. One point off top spot with all top seven placed teams having played 34 is very encouraging. Top stuff from Lillis (distant memory of save at Crystal Palace by Welch) to cap off a point saving performance.
Lets see what tomorrow brings , especially with Oxford vs Burton.
Thanks Brighouse. Didn't know WHill's did pre-season friendly betting but put the following on and won: Rochdale AFC @ EVS Sheffield United FC @ 10/11 Nottingham Forest FC @ 8/11 Coventry City FC @ 5/6 Walsall FC @ EVS
To put a positive spin on this situation it could actually be a good time to get rid of Hill and move forward. Yes he has achieved for Dale but... 1. Rochdale should have achieved a play off place this season (based on our position in the last 4/5 games of the campaign). Perhaps we now need fresh blood to take us to the next level. 2.He should have taken us up as champions in the promotion season.
I say Barnsley are welcome to Hill but I think they are deluding themselves if they think he is the answer to their problems. Let's just get some quality management team in place to build for the forthcoming season and remember today's news is tomorrow's fish & chip wrapping.
Who's going to win the Premiership? Any one of 4 clubs.
Who's going to get into the Europa League? Any one of five clubs.
Think thats the same five rather than nine ?
FL1 has more than 8 clubs who believe they can get promoted via automatic or playoffs and more than 10 clubs who are capable of achieving relegation. Plenty of shock results this weekend, none as good as SFC 0 RFC 2, even Tranmere won against pre season tips for promotion.
