Spent the afternoon walking the dogs , firstly along the prom in Mumbles as far as the pier then drove back to County Hall then walked up as far the West pier and back and I have say ,sadly, no one was wearing anything to commemorate our Remembrance , a small sample maybe who knows but hopefully not an indication of any indifference to the moment. |

I see Labour have put another round in the rifle aimed at farmers where farms worth more than a million will be exempt from the increase in inheritance tax making it financially unrealistic "a policy specifically designed to protect family-run farms by reducing the tax burden on them so they do not have to sell their main income source to pay the bill" . Farmers are the mainstay of our well being and yet along with planting trees in Uganda of making farmers turn over 20% of arable land to growing more trees seems to me a concerted effort to rid the country of the farming industry. |

Is he any worse than your every day citizen, paying lip service to those in need , what about the MPs who have in their power means to address this issue but don't .At least he tries to highlight the issue rather than those who do nothing. |

I think any increase in Employers National Insurance contributions , Insurance etc will be , eventually passed onto the consumer, small businesses will have to reduce costs by either reducing the amount they employ or raising what they charge , increasing inflation . That's a socialist government for you. |

All those company's stated in my post and more left Wales well before the Brexit vote so I'm not sure why you're so fixated on Brexit. |

I had no relatives who served during WW2 ( that I know of) but intend visiting Mametz next year , where the Welsh 53rd Division paid a heavy price in lives and blood, if ever there was an example of lions being led by donkeys that would be it. |

I think you'll find that once the grants ran out Companies left Wales also the major employers left Wales years before the Brexit vote. Company's such as Sony , Panasonic , LG Murco , Hotpoint real major employers in Wales all gone with no real replacement which could provide the jobs so much needed. Can you name any Company which you believe `can replicate the number of jobs equal to one Company we've lost? |

Only in the UK, whatever happened to basic common-sense by our so called betters. Putin is moving towards a wider war footing, he's testing our ariel response to his air forces incursions and now some dimwit decided to allow one of his ships loaded with enough ammonia nitrate to reshape part of the UK's eastern seaboard .This after the more sensible amongst the free world decide its too much of a risk to allow it to dock. Taking aside whether Russia is involved or not why would the UK take a risk of a major event occurring right here at home when the ship can still move under its own powe. |

As an ex service man and having a mate/ colleague whose name is on the wall at the Cenotaph ( killed aged 18 ) then this time of the year is always an important one to me. Anyone who doubts the commitment of the men and women of this country who served and died d for it should do what I did and intend doing again next year is visit the many ( too many) military cemeteries dotted along the coast of northern France ,the monuments to those willing to die for what we have now ( a joke) .I agree with the OP, the commemoration we see each year will slowly die as do those who participate .The fact that recent history of this country is no longer taught in a lot of schools and certainly not in homes then there is only one way this will go. As long as Comrade Associations exist then it will continue but these are starting to fall away, my Old Regiment on Walters road an example. |

I wouldn't like to say , I understand the argument some may have regarding drugs and alcohol but a unless a regulatory body was set up to control the manufacturing of recreational drugs which unless you're a screaming idiot would know that's not going to happen then we're stuck at at impasse. I do believe in making cannabis or rather CBD oil or what ever form it could be produced in as part of treatment for various pain relief but the pharmaceutical companies wouldn't agree to it as I believe it would open the floodgates to home grown plants being grown and they couldn't control that , nor could the National Grid cope . |
