Just want to say as a Cardiff fan I was buzzing to see this kid get his first team debut for you last night after everything he's been through.
I've seen him play a few times and always thought he was one to watch. Hopefully now he can push on and turn the last year into positive for bigger and better things.
I know you all don't give a feck what I think and I'll probably be showered with abuse, but I'll post anyway.
Firstly I think Potter is the right man for the job and if the board and the fans stick with him he'll almost certainly get it right and you'll be knocking on the door again soon enough.
I think the job that Potter is doing has some parallels with what Daniel Farke was doing at Norwich last season. Norwich looked good in spells last season but were unable to sustain it for 90 minutes and were too easy to undo.
I've watched you a few times this season including the Norwich game and what struck me is how little teams have to work to score against you.
At times it looks too easy for you. You dominated the first half yesterday with your passing and movement but what you don't seem to be able to do is change the tempo at all.
I thought Grimes was good yesterday but I'm not sure what Fulton and Fer brought alongside him.
Fer looked brilliant against Leeds but every time I've watched him since I don't know what he's doing. The one thing he brought to the Leeds performance was a bit of energy and power but now he just looks to be cruising.
It was always gonna be difficult with so much inexperience in your first season back in the championship but I do believe that Potter will bring in players that fit his style both on amd off the pitch and it's just a matter of patience.
Cardiff fan here. Congratulations on a superb season!
Only kidding, I've just signed up to talk a bit of football.
I'm intrigued by your next appointment which looks like it could well be Graham Potter. (Obviously)
Anyway having been excited and severely let down by Solskjaer a few years back I can see a few obvious parallels between the two appointments.
However I do think Potter could be a brilliant appointment for you lot. When Ole came to us, we were basically a set piece team under Malky who defended with heart but had very little in terms of technical ability.
I know you are far from the team you were a few years back but I believe there is enough of a footballing philosophy remaining at your place which may afford Potter the patience Potter needs (from the stands) to allow Potter time to make a success of it.
I thought Bradley, Clement and to a lesser extent Carvalhal were disastrous selections by your board and Clement always spoke like someone who was unsure about himself.
I've watched a few interviews with Potter and he certainly doesn't strike me as someone who is blagging it. He certainly has a clear vision of what he wants to do and how he's going to acheive it.
I thought this was a decent interview. The interviewer didn't just let Potter throw empty coach speak but made him expand on what he said and Potter looked really comfortable and came across really well.
I think he'll be good for your football club if given time. And the most important quality he has in my opinion is that he actually improves players who play for him which is quite rare these days.
