Yeah but no but when we signed Madsen, there was a very informative analysis on this site about Madsen's strengths and weaknesses that said a lot of things including this:
Champ average:
Shots on target
Progressive carries
Above champ average for:
Both medium distance and progressive passes
Creativity and finishing (but skewed by penalties?)
Low on:
Pressing
Tackles and interceptions
And
Aerial duels!
So if they thought they were spending a lot of money on a dominant Championship level box to box player they didn't only not watch him, but they did less research on him than whoever did the piece on here. |

Chair in front of a defensive two might make more sense at home - with Morgan in there away from home and Chair to the left.
But Koki has been good there lately and one of the few brighter points today.
So many below par performances I find it difficult to draw definite conclusions but I'm sure others will feel well equipped to. |

Agree. I'm holding out the hope that if we're able to continue to improve the squad next season he may want to give it another year. Unless a PL offer comes in, in which case that'll be that.
And to beat that dead horse again, some of that might depend on Palace shifting Eze for a reasonable sum (with the previous £60m stuff looking unlikely based on this season).
Really interesting article though - will look into the racing driver dad stuff. |
