Better second half and deserved more. 5 shots on target from 20. Says it all today.

Poor first half but Rs on top for most of the second, although Stoke always had the potential to be dangerous on the break. We had 3 or 4 good chances (Paal, Dunne, Chair) and some longer range efforts, including a couple of free kicks, but couldn't make them count. Bursik made some smart saves.

Willock not at his best failing to release Paal on the overlap on more than one occasion and also man-handled at times by the Stoke defenders. I thought Paal did well to deal with a lot of first half attacks down his flank. There were a couple of promising corner routines beyond the far post that didn't quite come off and some sparkling passing moves that again didn't quite come off, the final ball going astray. Have to give some credit to Stoke defence.

Overall we should have won, but need to score goals - statement of bleeding obvious. Chair worked hard and showed usual invention. My MotM.

Both sides too solid to be beaten on the day

Ref on top of penalty claim
Instantaneous wave-away
No equivocation
No scintilla of doubt
Decision in a nanosecond

“If the ref sees that back again he gives it”

No he doesn’t

Felt we were in the land of giants, needed Lyndon in the second half as the guys in the 1st half needed a beanstalk. Stoke are going to hurt teams this season so everyone I spoke to felt the draw was a fair reflection. Really disappointed with Roberts as obviously talented. Almost feel like we passed a test.
