He is in the best form of his career for me Connell.

His decision making and execution vastly improved too.

A menace currently for opposition defences

Couldn't live with him - bought on Robbie Brady to try and keep him in check and .... failed - 9/10 from Smythy today.

He always gives more than 100%.

He has added the decent final ball and more clinical finishing also.

Another making a strong case to being remembered fondly long after his time here.

Yeah, hat off to him, he is playing well. But........ he is infuriating.

Been decent all season the stick he was getting on here was way OTT

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Like a terrier hanging on to your trouserleg.
Thought he was excellent today.
And his nuisance allowed us to get forward the second half.
Definately candidate for MOM.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

One of his best performances for us because on top of the things he normally does, there was end product today ( as there have been in a few games recently).

Constant and steady but not spectacular improvement. Likeable too.

A lesson in patience for QPR fans.

If he adds the goal threat from cutting in at the outside of the box, a la Chair, look out. He hit the crossbar with a thunking almost-statement
1
Smyth. on 19:50 - Dec 21 with 2204 viewsDWQPR

Looking a far better player over the last few games. Great assist for Kholi and nearly repeated it for Chair. The cut inside and shot that hit the crossbar would have been goal of the season done and dusted. Always been a player in there and he’ll always be loved by the crowd for his effort. Hopefully like a few other players he will kick on.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

Smyth. on 19:52 - Dec 21 with 2187 viewsTonto

There has been significantly more end product recently and hrs making more of a difference as a result. He's stopped just falling over and looking for the foul and putting crosses in.

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

It was noticeable that he was getting double teamed, same Kolli and Saito, when the ball was fed to him. The pace of the three of them were giving PNE a lot problems to solve with both their pace and tenacity.
A great team effort from everyone today, subs included.

The grass is always greener.

He was good against Bristol City too don't forget.

Confidence Is a huge thing, I've always liked the bloke as a player and I reckon he's progressed his game this season.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Smyth. on 20:08 - Dec 21 with 2079 viewsBrianMcCarthy

He's definitely improving with confidence. Really looking up a lot now, and had three good cutbacks today.

I thought he was very poor at times earlier in the season. Great to see a hard worker like him improve.

I’d like to think that he’s taken on board what Mr C has been telling him.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Made a goal, hit the bar, and nearly (probably should have) scored another. Won us a raft of free kicks. Never stopped.

If that infuriates you, you make me look like the friggin' Buddha!

With you on this. One swallow doesn’t make a summer after all, just as one bobbled pull-back doesn’t make him David Beckham.

Not slating him at all for today of course, just tempering my expectations a bit is all. Equally, as awful as any final third output from him normally is, he’s still probably one of our most important players for getting out of our own half and works hard defensively as well as bombing on

Shit but local

Smyth. on 21:29 - Dec 21 with 1727 viewsOxfordHoops

Playing very well at the moment and becoming a real threat for against any opposition, very unlucky not to score again today, but provided a great assist for Kolli, links up very well with Dunne also.

Smyth. on 21:31 - Dec 21 with 1697 viewsqueensparker

He’s been brilliant in this mini revival and deserves a lot of credit.

Yes his final ball is erratic but if it wasn’t - as the saying goes - he wouldn’t be playing for us.

But he’s just scored a goal from 50 yards to win us a point in a game where we were getting battered, he set up the crucial equaliser today and ran Preston so ragged they changed their defence at half time, his defensive work is tireless and he’s a good lad.

The option of him, Saito, Chair and Dembele running at defences for 90 mins as starters and off the bench is pretty exciting. And Smyth deserves to start on his performances right now

I think he's had an assist in all of our last three wins. He's having a decent season, not just this game.

As he is a Norn Iron lad...I'm absolutely chuffed to see him doing well. His effort has never been in doubt, and now he is being coached better. Personally think he is better than Saito.
