Swings the axe again, At Newport County this time

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

Laudrup , Martinez and Brendon Rodgers , managers come gone moved on to better roles .

Cooper , Potter now Russell Martin all Premiership level , we had them all once .

How now we cannot attract a forward thinking manager , out of the box tactician .

Back in the dark days we took a punt on John Toshack ftom Cardiff .
First Division football followed some 5 years later . Swans v Arsenal , never happen .

Win at all costs now , short term contract for a new manager plus limited budget .

Chelsea are throwing out 7 years contracts to Managers , fail after a few games pack your suncream and sit on a beach for a few years .

Without a doubt mate Huw should have a statue outside the ground.
Without him we would never of been in the premiership.

Huw and his co owners built our club into something special.
Look I know people are still hurt with the selling to the Americans.
But Huw should be respected by us all.

I am going to put a cheeky bet on pre season.

Newport promotion, Wrexham promotion , Leeds United promotion.

I think we would all agree that we would rather Leigh, Huw and Martin still in charge than the current owners? Agree or not?

That’s a bit like asking if you want Sunak or Starmer as Prime Minister. Neither really. But Starmer could take us to the next level. 😃

As for Jenkins et al. Theyve well and truly pissed on their chips and somehow they got away with it. God knows how.

I think the football experience of Jenkins would have given us a better chance of returning to the Premier League but no one knows for sure.
It is the lack of footballing experience at the very top over the last 8 years which has been our biggest challenge for us.

Chippy is that because of what is on your shoulder?

Huw Jenkins will go down in history long after we are gone.
I did mention his team of co owners 😔 but you obviously just discarded that.

Re watch the play off final who were our owners then?

I understand that Huw selling us to these lot hurt.
As we knew Huw was Swansea through and through.

Without the Huw Jenkins influence we could be playing in the Welsh prem now.
So stop being blind 🦯🦮 also Huw was pulling the strings.....

Keith can you solve this for us ?

Was Huw Jenkins a mouth piece while he was our chairman?

Chippy mate honestly what would we have done without him?

I think Swansea supporters living in Swansea possibly think less of HJ than those living outside.

Huw Jenkins was a good Swansea Chairman until about 2013. Not a great one. His contempt for supporters and inability to handle any kind of criticism limited him there, but his ability to pick a manager and then get the f*ck out of the way set him aside.

Unfortunately that didn't last. Huwbert began to fancy himself as a "director of football type" and a significant proportion of the blame for our current position can also be laid at his feet.

He was too stupid to get out of the way of people who understood football better than he did.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Go back to the very beginning when petty left. And those who took over told Huw
right you're going to have to be chairman
And all of sudden we have a chairman that to some is a world beater
And as to having a chip on my shoulder I don t have one but two when its needed
Selling to the yanks under the table enough said.

He was asking for arbitration and the view of the sites owners who was in the know.

Jenkins is a legend who had 15 successful season and one bad one. He deserves statue.

The fans group which have always been pretty useless created a fake narrative that in someway they were badly treated. They were probably seen as the" awkward squad" by the other owners. They could have easily scattered the deal at an early stage so not involved in an early stage.

The members were weak and did not know what they wanted in terms of selling shares.

Why would the Americans spend another £21M to acquire the Trust's shares?? - when they could buy the club for £68M, and then have Jenkins and Morgan's voting rights for control of the club.

You keep repeating that they are savvy business men - so they never had/needed the Trust's shares in the first place!!

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

It is well known they wanted to buy the Trust shares but the Trust had no mandate. They had no mandate because their man on the board said the shares would "never be up for sale" . No member raised this issue. The US people waited about a year for a mandate they discussed a sale for 4 months and could not agree a deal. The buyer walked away which is their right.

The Trust is important because their perceived mistreatment is the reason for fans to having a dim view of him

Monk took the club to to a top ten PL finish with home and away wins v Man Utd and Arsenal. Not too shabby if you ask me. He was a short term fix similar to Steve Cooper. He was let down by Ledbetter who delivered Fat Franck and Eder to replace big guns.

Monk is not fit to polish Laudrups togs
and from then on in he and the Swans spiralled, luckily enough we are still hanging on in there as an established mid table Championship side he on the otherhand finished 18th with Cambridge United 4 points off the drop to League 2
