Salford City (h) Match Thread on 18:54 - Oct 18 with 6849 views | 442Dale | Online ticketing was down an hour ago so went to the ticket office. There were large queues and it wasn’t moving very quickly. These things will happen but they need to have contingencies in place - whether that’s printing off a pile of tickets so transactions can be done faster, I’m not sure but hopefully lessons can be learnt.

(No subject) (n/t) on 20:01 - Oct 18 with 6339 views | HullDale | One point from the first half - Sinclair is quickly embodying everything we as a club, & EBJ, stand for. Resilient, strong, forward thinking, doesn't shirk from a battle & never knows when he is beaten. For a relatively uninspiring signing (RS suggested in an interview he was low wage and low risk) he could rapidly become a key part of this squad. [Post edited 18 Oct 2022 20:03]

Salford City (h) Match Thread on 21:18 - Oct 18 with 5397 views | 442Dale | Playing well until the subs and we then lost the midfield as Henderson dropped a bit deeper after Diagouraga went off. Kept going though to get the late goal. Quigley’s injury is the big worry and with hindsight both tactically and for what happened, it may have been better to bring Kelly on initially.

The subs changed the game. Their five offered impact and our three in response left us overwhelmed in midfield and disrupted our left side defensively. Seeing Quigley pull up was not good. I'm not sure why he was even on the bench. Malley looked good and probably should have scored early in the first half. Sinclair put in a good shift and a great cross for Henderson's goal but faded in the second half. Odoh worked tirelessly but again his decision making was found wanting at times. John looked solid at left back and could be a long term option there.
Salford City (h) Match Thread on 21:35 - Oct 18 with 5137 views | Dalenet | Yep their subs change the game and we lost focus for 10 minutes. But a really enjoyable game and great to see some good passing in and around the box. Tullochs speed was incredible. He may have earned a start on Saturday with that display

His pace was impressive during that sprint down the line but his impact was minimal again. Doesn’t offer enough compared to our permanent options and it’s amazing West Brom haven’t recalled him.

No real end product and his work off the ball is not a patch on either that of Odoh or Sinclair. [Post edited 18 Oct 2022 21:50]

Thought Tulloch did well and showed real pace and had time for a quick look up too, something Odoh needs to learn quickly. Disappointing set of Penalties at the end but pleased to see Taylor back on the pitch . Nelson was terrific too. We may well be without Quigley on Saturday which will cause EBJ to reshuffle the pack a bit. No sign of Campbell either
Salford City (h) Match Thread on 22:12 - Oct 18 with 4710 views | Swissdale | Can’t see what anyone saw in Tulloch tonight. Fast but too lightweight and runs into dead ends. Thought Sinclair did well first half but was really poor second half - certainly wasn’t MOM. Malley and Brierely were good, but Kelly showed when he came on why he’s keeping both out of the team with a fantastic finish from the one chance he got. Played well tonight but lacked that killer instinct to make it 2-0. Hope Quigley’s injury isn’t too serious! Does anybody know if we’d have definitely gone through if we’d have won on Pens?

Yes. Goal difference was the same but we’d scored more goals than Salford. With Accrington’s final score as it was, it would have been interesting how they’d have decided who was top if we’d won on pens as our records would have been identical.

https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2022/october/papajohnpermutations_181022/ Yep, we’d have gone through. Potentially as winners, but it would have been second place in the end as Accy won
