After being released by Fulham, Bowler spent two years at the newly established Aldershot FC Academy before its closure in 2013. Bowler then joined the Queens Park Rangers youth team in 2013, becoming a full professional in March 2017. In May that year, he made his first team debut in the last game of the 2016—17 EFL Championship season against Norwich City.

Bowler made his first appearance for the club in the first match of the 2019—20 season in the 2—1 away defeat to Swansea City, when he came off the bench to replace Kamil Grosicki. On 1 June 2020 Hull indicated the loan would be extended to the end of the 2019—20 season.
Blackpool
On 19 June 2021, Bowler agreed to sign for Blackpool in a one-year deal that will be confirmed on 1 July 2021. The club has an option to extend his contract by a further year.
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

The club's basing itself on a model of recruiting young talent, devloping it and sell in on at a profit.
We all know that but we haven't yet got to the stage when we sell one of our first teamers.
There was serious interest in Yates in the summer but, just being promoted, it was the wrong time to cash in. We tied him down to an improved long term contract.
It's a bit early to sell Bowler. We can activate another tear on his contract in the summer and that'd be the tile to sell - if he doesn't sign an extension.
The day's going to come when we sell one of our developed players.
We'd better get used to it and I wouldn't be surprised if we start getting top dollar.
P.S. If run successfully, this model will make us a very attractive proposition for young talent.

Doesn't sound as if Forest are upping their bid, rather restructuring it:
‘Where there is harmony, may we bring discord. Where there is truth, may we bring error. Where there is faith, may we bring doubt. And where there is hope, may we bring despair’
Just need him to sign a new contract, otherwise he will go for peanuts next time

There must be some reason he only signed a 1 + 1 in the first place. Either the club or Bowler himself must've insisted on it.
Also there's Ekpiteta's contract to consider.
There must be one or 2 other players who're going to have their 1 year option activated this summer. Some of those signed in the summer of 2020 on 2+ 1s, the summer befire Critchley's first full season.
Even Anderson, for example, could be one nearing the end of his contract.
If I ever get time, I'll do a bit of research on the contracts about to expire / go into their final (option) year.
