It was a great pint in those days. The other replies are making me feel old. 🙠

Don't worry mate, we're both around the same vintage! I can't remember my first pint, it would have been around 1970, when I was 15. I remember getting recked on Worthington best bitter when I went on a caravan holiday to Tenby with a gang of mates that year. I don't remember the pub, it might have been the site club, during a disco. [Post edited 8 Apr 2019 9:23]

First pint I ordered and payed for. Beaufort Arms , Kittle. Allbright bitter, the most popular pint in Wales.63p as I recall.

First pint... where and when on 11:21 - Apr 8 with 3686 views | Lord_Bony | Me first pint we’re in the General Picton pub,Maesteg.79. Three of us were 17. We sheepishly drunk our pints under the dartboard in use. I had three pints of lager and lime we could not believe we’d actually got away with it. Think I spewed me ring up afterwards. After that there was no stopping.

First pint... where and when on 14:28 - Apr 8 with 3556 views | squarebear | I paid 50p for my first ever pint - Carlsberg. It was in the Westgate Hotel in Newport. March 1979. I was 14. The daftest part was that before I went out my mum had warned me not to leave my drink unattended as someone might slip something (she never specified exactly what) in it. So having nipped for a pee I was too scared to drink it.

Think you was ripped off with that price, scandalous. I can remember in 1979 when I started a pint of trophy bitter 26p up from 23p and a pint of Heineken for 33p. You could get pissed on a pound, they were the days.

The only place I know where you can get pissed, well kind of, on a pound is Bulgaria. A pint of Kominitzer lager chilled, similar to Heineken was just 33p a pint a few years back. Can still be done folks.

Innit...no idea when or where I had my first pint. Didn’t seem that special at the time I guess! Was probably around 2004ish. Maybe it’s a generation thing.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.
