An aside to the current debate on guns, but I saw an interesting fact that the average American school has 6 times more pupils than 70 years ago. An explanation for greater alienation and less awareness of what thoughts might be lurking in the student body?

Just imagine what future job interviews for teaching positions are going to be like.
"Thanks for coming, Mr Irving, welcome to Sunnyville High. Keep your coat on, we're going to the school playing field to see how many crows you can bag with this Beretta".

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Do you know if that 10 year period showed a reduction in fire arm deaths? I honestly don't know but if it did you'd hope any present argument for gun control would be using that information at the front of it's campaign.
I believe so, Yes. In the 10 years after the ban the number of people killed in mass shootings dropped by 43%. In the years after the ban the number went up 239%. No doubt some degree of error in those stats but it undoubtedly made a difference.

3 times as many people in the world as 70 years ago. So possibilities of greater alienation of fellow man anyway.

So let’s arm the teachers. They each have a handgun. Where is this handgun kept. In a secure place I would expect. Locked away, where the pupils can’t get it. Remember this latest perpetrator wa a pupil until very recently, the Columbine killers were pupils at the school. A gunman breaks in and opens up with his automatic weapon and the teacher has to run and unlock his secure place and bring put his gun and ...too late. Especially if the gunman is a pupil or ex pupil who knows where the gun is kept. Haven’t thought this out have you dopey bollocks Trump ?
Strong and stable my arse.

Same old tired arguments every time there's one of these shootings. They will never sort it out. F*** me if they cant even stop the sale of AR15';s after the likes of Sandy Hook and this one they never will.
I'm a member of the UCU union for lecturers that is currently on strike. I'm pretty certain the US wouldn't entertain the idea of giving us guns if they had our strike laws.
Imagine our pickets if we lined up with assault rifles
Whatever the intention of the 2nd amendment it certainly isn't enacted today to protect people.

Do you reckon they’ll give Muslim and Black teachers guns? If a female Muslim teacher doesn’t turn up for training on her first day wearing a Niqab then i’m sorry that is a open goal missed.
