No, not one of the greats, but a very entertaining (and often frustrating) player. His average should be higher, but he is a very high risk player, and that’s just the way he plays — sometimes it comes off (with spectacular results) but often he gets out far too cheaply. | |

All true. Not forgetting that he spent a large chunk of his career keeping wicket and batting at six or seven which would have affected his average. He'll be missed. | |

Topley threw the game away for England yday, by bowling his first two balls of the last over as full tosses in the last over of the game after Jordan's excellent previous over, Morris is far to good a batsman to turn chances like that down and he Topley then further bolloxed the job up by missing a stumping off his last ball, did feel a tad sorry for him though in fairness, hope he doesn't dwell on it as he's a decent bowler in fairness. |  |
