A squad with that many inexperienced players most of whom lack the necessary quality would do well to stay up. Especially if any of the experienced defenders got injured. Have you seen Lennox, Sendles-White, Monthe, Yun, Andrade, Doughty, Sutherland, Sharif, Hitchcock, Petrasso play? And I don't mean 10 minutes cameos. Are they good enough for the Championship? If we don't go up there is bound to be a massive clear out, over and above the 15 or so out of contract. But let's not get silly.

That will go some way to determining the transfer budget.

I've seen quite a bit of the reserves and matches where some of the se guys have been loaned out. Are they strong enough and good enough for this division, given the chance with a progressive coach? Definitely. But, our general policy is to waste players like this, especially Doughty, who can play just about anywhere and has great ability and awareness. As, when he comes back, does Sutherland. Hitchcock is a goal scorer in the Goddard mould and Monthe and Andrade have pace and ability on the left.

Next Season - What would you do? on 10:15 - Mar 14 with 4315 views | adhoc_qpr | I'd offer Clint and Faurlin another year. Green too if he'll take a 50% wage cut. Maybe Dunne, but probably not as he is expensive and i'd prefer to use Onouha in the centre. Sell the remaining mercs (Granero, Hoillet etc) plus any actual assets (Remy, Adel, maybe Cesar). Then assess the finances and set a sensible transfer and wage budget and add players who fit in this based on positions of need, not who they used to play for or reputation. This is all assuming Championship, but the same applies if by some miracle we're in the Prem except with a slightly higher transfer kitty.
Next Season - What would you do? on 11:37 - Mar 14 with 4237 views | runningman75 | If we go up Harry will continue with our transfer policy of expensive has beens. If we do not go up bring in a manager who can build a squad on a budget. Was listening to Neil Warnock talking about Spurs last night and saying dressing rooms need leaders. We need someone of that ilk who can build a team not having 11 lethargic individuals on the pitch each week.

"Sell the remaining mercs" - who to? Nobody wanted them this season! Personally I would just coach them and see what they can do when coached.

Next Season - What would you do? on 12:11 - Mar 14 with 4189 views | daveB | If we stay down I'd appoint a young manager, someone like Paul Clement from Madrid or Mackay, Eddie Howe possibly even Dyche who has done great jobs at Watford and Burnley. Steve Gallen would be worth a shout as well. Age isn't the most important thing for me when getting a squad together, key thing for next year whatever league we are in is have the bulk of the players in the first team who see QPR as a step up in their career and have the desire to better themselves which make the team and club better. Stop filling the bench with loans, use our own kids on the bench and one may turn out to be a gem and basically bring back hunger, desire and passion to the club. To be honest this could easily be a copy and paste to what I said when Magilton got the sack, bugger all has changed.

Any one who will take them, there is always someone with a short memory or who is desperate. Or loan them out again to get their wages off the books for a bit longer. Either way i don't want to see Hoillett again if possible, thank you please!

Agree with the latter bit - if we can't shift him we might as well play him.

Next Season - What would you do? on 13:04 - Mar 14 with 4101 views | DANRANGER | Players for next season that are worth keeping for me : Green (don't rate him but is capable and shown good character with cesar situ) Simpson Nedum Traore Barton Faurlin (1 yr deal with option) Henry Hoilett (I'm a fool but still expect someone to sort him out) Phillips Austin Agree some of the youngsters need a go but I would imagine you'd need either Gallen or Bircham in charge to make this happen. Again presuming we don't go up any new manager will still have huge pressure on him so inevitably will not look at the kids unless TF is willing to give him time.

Next Season - What would you do? on 13:26 - Mar 14 with 4052 views | simmo | Give one year contracts to Faurlin, Hill and 1 or 2 year deals to Green and Traore. Let everybody else on that list go, some with a foot up their arse. Look to shift/find buyers for saleable 'assets' Granero, Cesar, Taarabt and Remy Get Ravel on a perm Buy a permanent LB (Cresswell?) Buy a CB to play alongside Nedum (Lees?, C Dawson?) Buy a winger (Buckley?) Buy a CM (would have said someone like Bridcutt) Buy a striker (McCormack, Le Fondre?) Give regular squad places to Ehmer, Harriman, Sutherland, Petrasso and Hitchcock GK: Green, Murphy RB: Simpson, Harriman CB: Hill, Nedum, Ehmer, Lees/Dawson? LB: Cresswell?, YSY CM: Barton, Faurlin, Henry, Diakite, Sutherland, Morrison, +1 RW: Phillips, Buckley? LW: Hoilett, Traore ST: Austin, Hitchcock, McCormack/Le Fondre? That's 24. I would then give Doughty, Andrade and the others on the fringes loans with a recall clause.
