Wolverhampton Wanderers 3 v 1 Southampton FA Premier League Saturday, 15th January 2022 Kick-off 15:00 |
codge added 22:42 - Jan 15 You could tell the Ref was only on his 2nd game clueless for most of the match, Forster in no man’s land for the second goal.We played quite well over all, between there diving at the slightest touch especially Prudence such a weasel. Overall we put in a decent performance just didn’t get the rub of the green. COYR. AmericanSaint added 01:20 - Jan 16 Yeah, a disappointment but Wolves are hard at home - Best GAA at home. I can see the PEN being given, but where was VAR when OR was kick under his knee while he was in the box. That was a clear and obvious PEN. The ref did show his inexperience but did an ok job overall. FF was to blame for the 2ns goal no doubt, but had a decent rest of the game. Everyone makes errors and we forget that stupid foul that gave away that free kick. Perraud was so unlucky not to score and Salusi should have scored his header. Oh, the good is that we showed spirit and fight and again like I said after the last match, this game would show where we really are. Dont believe the scoreline, it flatters wolves who only really tested us the last 10 minutes after JWP thunderbolt. Now we just have to keep playing with this same intensity and finish our chances and we will be fine. Foreverred added 10:18 - Jan 16 Think you will find he did save one against Chelsea. I refer you to the archive footage below... Penalty save number 2 clearly shows a save whilst he is keeper, hand definitely gets there. ElijahK I suggest you watch the footage, definitely does not “ski over†as you are suggesting. ElijahK added 18:17 - Jan 16 Ok fair enough foreversaint, he saved a single penalty in the shootout, but that’s what most people expect from a keeper in a shootout, to save at least 1 penalty, and ether way, it doesn’t remove the fact that he’s shite and McCarthy is better, but should only be our backup keeper as nether are PL quality whatsoever KriSaint added 00:26 - Jan 17 A frustrating defeat as we could definitely have gotten a result. A 'home team referee' didn't help much. I liked our 'new' shape, but where the hell were KWP and Che Adams in our starting line up? Ralph? Fantastic free kick - again - by JWP. Now no. 2 in the 'all time PL number of free kick goals list' behind Beckham with a total of 12 free kick goals. I feel very proud of that and of the fact that - this time - it wasn't his normal 'left wards' / 'inwards' curling type of shut but an astonishing thunderbolt 'outwards' one - from 40 yards out. Amazing. Bring on Tottenham and Manure and let's come with a proper reaction and beat those 2 annoying teams. COYS! <3 You need to log in to participate in Your Report | Your Report
