Another Fisher error costs Swansea City at Millwall
Tuesday, 14th Mar 2023 21:51 by Swansea Independent

An industrious and well drilled Swansea City were foiled by their own keeper again at the Den as the Swans paid for their keepers continual errors in this championship encounter. Andy Fisher sadly once again let his side down with a mistake which put paid to all the hard work his side did.

With Swansea decision maker Steve Kaplan in the crowd prompting speculation as to the Swans immediate future under Russell Martin they most certainly did enough to earn a point. However for all the hard work and effort nothing materialised for Swansea in a game they very much should have taken something from.

Having gone in level at half time the Swans let their usual poor defending for Millwall’s first lead to a Fisher mistake to put the home side two goals up. From there the Swans dominated the half but couldn’t take advantage of the opportunities they created in the second half. As much as it was a much better performance at the Den it really did show how poor the Swans are at taking their opportunities that all their hard work created.

Sadly this is yet another defeat for Swansea City and despite all the effort and hard work by Olivier Ntcham especially this surely now signals a crossroads for Russell Martin as Swansea head coach ? We are either going to see a resounding vote of confidence for Russell Martin or this was his last game in charge of Swansea City. Russell Martin reaction follows shortly as will our next report on his immediate future at the Swans.

Well Fisher I would not play him in the reserve's he is very much a weak link in that team and as for our strikers well less said about the better yes I hope Kaplan was there to see for himself all what Martin is doing and for god sake man get rid of him as he has not got a clue if Kaplan is not investing in our club but do something about our manager and speak to the Chairman Winter as he is the man you employed to run the club when you are not there the results speake for themselves the club can not go on with having a manager who has lost his way in the way he is managing our club.
