Arsenal And West Ham Games Sold Out
Saturday, 28th Jan 2017 10:47

Wembley fever has started to hit Southampton fans with tickets flying out of the door for the next two home games.

This afternoons game against Arsenal in the FA Cup has now sold out with the last few remaining tickets snapped up.

It has been joined by next weeks Premier League fixture against West Ham United although as that is a league game there may be tickets available via the ticket exchange where season ticket holders who cannot attend can put their seats up for resale.

It is amazing what a couple of wins can do for the enthusiasm, after all it was just over a week ago that St Mary's was less than half full for the visit of Norwich City in the FA Cup, back then there was a real feeling of disillusionment in the fan base, now the League cup Final has brought back the feelgood factor to Saints supporters and this can only be a good thing.

Nick, as you mentioned in your earlier article this could help bring up your purchase record to qualify quicker for a Wembley ticket, as we get 31k tickets, which is about St Mary's full of home supporters do you know how many season ticket holders we now have? Will also be interesting if any more home games go on sale next week prior to the Wembley tickets?

or rather saints members are trying to get over the 5 home game threshold that will allow them to purchase cup final tickets.

I don't have a chance, not member and only 3 home games and 4 away games so am trying to find the £300 required to buy one of the seats on ticket exchange.

Saintcole7 somebody told me we had 23000 season ticket holders this season all of which will get a ticket which leaves just over 8000 for members, I personally think they should make the league cup a fans cup and give us 45000 each

Carroll, thanks for the reply, I was under the impression that historically this cup final was as you described unlike the FA Cup which is very limited to "real"fans attending as it's mainly corporates, so I was surprised by the 31k figure.
