Kennedy wins Player of the Season Sunday, 29th Apr 2012 10:58 by Col Jason Kennedy and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro were the main winners at the club's annual Awards Evening at a packed out Dale Bar. Kennedy walked away with four different trophies on the night after impressing throughout what has been an otherwise disappointing season for the club - a remarkable turnaround given that he wasn't even assure of a place in the starting eleven early in the year. Equally, Akpa Akpro won his award despite not always being in the starting eleven over the season. The Frenchman scored eight goals throughout the campaign, including two in his last two games. The goal of the season was won by Andrew Tutte for his injury time thunderbolt at Huddersfield.
