Brighton Charged With Misconduct Over Saints Clash Friday, 25th Nov 2011 12:46 The Seagulls have been swooped upon by the FA. Brighton have found themselves charged with misconduct after their controversial defeat at St Mary's, after what in fairness was an appalling decision by the referee, Mauricio Taricco who apart from playing in defence for the Seagulls is also assistant manager was dismissed for comments made to the referee and made several gestures as he walked off the pitch, although some thought that making a gesture into his pocket he was merely telling Adam Lallana and Richard Chaplow that he had them in his pocket, it could be that the FA take another view and that he was inferring that the referee had been bought off. A statement from the FA today said: "Brighton and Hove Albion have been charged by The FA for failure to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion. "The charge is in relation to Brighton’s League match at Southampton on 19 November 2011. The club has until 4pm on 28 November 2011 to respond."
