Chamberlain Departs
Chamberlain Departs

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has finally joined Arsenal.

An official statement on the official Saints club website has confirmed that Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has been transfered to Arsenal.

The club have not stated the full value of the transfer but have said that this "Blows out of the water" any previous monies reciieved for a player.

Unfortunatley Saints supporters, indeed fans of any club have to accept that nowadays the finnacial temptations on offer are far too much for youngsters to turn down and whilst this might not be the greatest thing for Chamberlains career in the short term, he had given himself the guarantee of wealth far beyong what he would recieve at Saints should his career fail to continue to prosper through injury or other ways.

12 million in the bank, 3 million to come in add on’s, pretentious distraction gone and we have Steve De Ridder as an exciting replacement.. very good business indeed..
Good luck Alex thanks for the memories, I hope you a** isn’t warming Arsenals bench for too long!

I hope he likes writing kids' books because he won't be playing much football for the foreseeable future!

A fantastic deal for Saints. Well done Mr. Cortese. Yet more proof that their is more money than sense in the Premiership. I know he`s been at the club since around 12, but being schooled in Peeortsmuff, and bearing in mind what stock he comes from, it would have taken me another couple of seasons before I started to warm to him & classed him as "one of us". Excelent player mind .

Yeah, well done Cortese indeed. This far exceeded my expectations on what Arsenal would try and screw us for, £5 upfront and a remaining £10m when he's played 10,000 games for Arsenal and 100 for England!! We just need to ensure now that we reinvest the money in 2 Premiership players, a replacement winger (assuming de Ridder is in for Puncheon) and a quality centre back.
