The re-arranged game will now be part of our run-in this season. Dale and Saints don't both have a free Tuesday until 12th April at the earliest. The only other available dates would be 19th April or the 3rd May. Which ever date is decided on it will be one of our last six games this season, 4 of which will now be at home. If we can keep the promotion/play-off push going it may work to our advantage !

Really disappointed that this fixture was called off due to a waterlogged pitch? Thursday and Friday were both reasonably nice days, ok it rained most of Friday night/Saturday morning but just as the forecast predicted it stopped around 10.30 Saturday morning. Only Rotherham called their fixture off as well. Takes us back to the days of when we were a proper tin pot club, not good enough and if get a slap on the wrist for it so be it.

Another game called off too early! Southampton fans would have set off and it just makes us look like a little club that can't cope. Can't believe that if it had been left until at least midday, it would have been obvious that the weather was improving and that the ground staff could have got it on. Whats happened to the excellent drainage that seemed to work not long ago? Having watched the FL show, it surely can't have been as bad as loads of pitches where games went ahead. Club also loses out on revenue from the crowd as won't get half as many Southampton supporters (and Dale fans) on a Tuesday night.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Leyton Orient Polls |
