He drifts inside far too often, leaves 2 on 1 down the right hand side , don’t know whether he’s been instructed to but it’s bloody obvious from where I stand in the lower loft.
Les Ferdinand, joined us from Hayes for 40K, came on as sub for his debut and I said to my mate “we’ve signed a skinny headless chicken” he went to Brentford on loan who were equal unimpressed, he then went to Turkey, they loved him, was even rumours in the papers that they were petitioning maggie Thatcher to get her to persuade us to sell him to them. When he returned he was thrown in against Chelsea and scored a brace, saw him at Villa later that season in a 2-2 draw and I noticed he was no longer skinny and had thighs like Mr Universe, still he was in and out the team, suddenly in 91/92 he was given a chance and the rest is history, I’m not saying Charlie is the next Les but he may not be the same player who was with us two years ago. In other words give the bloke a chance.
I didn’t play in that one,I played the following season, there is a photo floating about in cyberspace somewhere. We lost 3-2, was 2 up then Beesotted panicked and brought on their full Sunday side who were a lot younger, fitter and faster than most of us! I played centre half, think Bob Malcom with half his pace!
I played the following year , can remember Davman and 100% but not many more. The Beesotted team was run by a Korean guy called Leicester Bee, randomly bumped into him on the tube when I was going to a game a few years later.
Smiffy used to wind a few up,a few posters met up with him one match day and had a word in his ear, sadly he passed away a few years back after not fully recovering from a motorbike accident.
I started posting on rivals in 1998, when that closed Ron & Simon set up QPR.net and that then split into this,I think Ingham moderated for a short while with a “anything goes attitude” and then a very young poster from oop North took over am here we are all these years later.
