More than pleased he's signed. I don't get the Franco hype has he really shone like a beacon in a mid table team that's made clubs sit up and say he's for us. He's a good player but would he command at this stage of playing in the championship a higher fee than we paid for him? Can't see it myself.
We can't take a point from any of the top teams. Fact. I don't see us winning either of these next two games which will be a real cause for concern if that happens. Qpr are doing ok recently and Luton are poor away but we all seen what happened to Hull being poor and not winning in13. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I really thought things were improving and the dire performances were behind us. I imagine I wasn't alone. I'm back to switching channels now when we are on. The only positive I have today is our 9 point cushion on the bottom three. Are those three teams really 9 points worse than us? Hull were 11 behind us and they were better than us today.
So what changes should we expect for this game? LW was vocally displeased with how we lost to Sunderland. So you would think changes are inevitable. Trouble is our best starting X1 of those available is more or less last weeks starting lineup.
7 of our 8 defeats are against the top 7. All our wins bar 1 are against teams below us. That tells me we are an average championship club with average players for this league. So who would we replace him with? Within our budget. I'm not convinced about LW myself but would a replacement improve the situation? There are obviously higher expectations by some posters that this squad could do better.
Just as well we conceded late. Otherwise there was not too much to moan about. Not a great game. We did enough that's what the scoreline says. A welcome 3pts. Top half.
How things have changed. October we didn't score at all. In fact we weren't creating much at all. Now we are creating good chances but we are not putting them away. Let's try and be more positive. This is by far a better feeling around the squad with this situation. Go 1-0 down previously and it was pretty much game over. Go 0-1or even like last week 0-2 down and there's a feeling we can get back in it. So missing chances isn't killing us. Not creating was.
He can't go before the cup game. When the draw was made on the Beeb it wasn't Swansea vs Saints it was the Russell Martin derby. He'll undoubtably will become a BBC pundit for that game if he goes.
Not sure about that. Trouble is after every loss when everyone else had their share of the blame we decide the ref was biased too. Don't get me wrong if Leeds had failed to win their forum would be exactly the same. Just my view of course but I didn't think the ref cost us the game. I'm disappointed too at the loss but not the overall performance.
Was anyone expecting such an open game when two of the best defensive teams go at each other? I really enjoyed the game despite another gut wrenching injury time defeat. The way we didn't over celebrate our third goal and the way they rushed back to halfway they gave the impression. Hey we can win this. I cannot look for a scapegoat for losing a great game like this. The last 3-4 games have IMO shown great progress. Keep it going lads.
We have recent history in bringing back former players who do not work out for us. So on that basis it would be no. You have to ask why it never worked out for him over the pond.
Don't think I was alone in thinking not that arrogant Pr*ck when he got the job. But fair play to him I've nothing but admiration with what he has achieved with this squad.
