Hospitals have not been starved of funds record funding every year.
The only privatisation of the NHS occurred under the Labour government where the new GPS contracts resulted in GPs being considered as contractors to the NHS. This has been further endorsed by Reeves who exclude the NHS from the recent NI increases but she has imposed them on GPS.
The other privatisation Blair did was to build hospitals under the Private Finance Initiative where private companies build and funded new hospitals with a guaranteed 15% return on capital for 25 years.
This was not purely to keep borrowing off the government books. Government borrowing rates at the time was 4%.
Swansea city already have discounted match day tickets . They range from full price £34 to £27 for less attractive marches. They also offer kids for £1 and also bring a friend for £5.
Still promoting rubbish. Their are more drug addcts in the UK living in their own homes. The relatively few drug addicts living on the street are due to getting in arrears with their rent or mortgage.
They could always do what Stalin, Mugabe and China did.
Confiscate the farms give them to party members to run. Unfortunately millions died in famines in Russia when stalin did that. Famines followed in China and in Zimbabwe.
Bangor has never been in West Wales. it is on the North Wales Coast. Could be classed as North West Wales.
Not Sure why you think the BBC invented West Wales A quick look at a BBC Web news web site will show it does not use the term West Wales
The region of Wales it uses are North East North West Mid South East South West
Seems to be another one of your rants based on your bias.
As I said the Swansea City Deal includes Swanses, Carmathenshire and Pembrokeshire and cost less than the Cardiff Metro deisgned to give easy access to Cardiff.
People turn to drugs and drink first. Once they are addicted and can no longer afford to eat or pay their rent they either lose their accommodation or resort to crime to find their addiction. They then end up on the street or in prison.
Another announcement just sneaked out by the Senedd. The number of homeless people reached a record high of 6447 people living in B&B and other temporary accommodation.
25 years of failure from the Senedd. If they had managed just to build 125 council house a year that would easily house the 6447 people.
Yes the Swansea City deal includes large parts of West Wales and was mostly funded by Westminster, private companies and some funds from the Welsh Government. It pales into insignificance compared to the money poured into Cardiff.
The whole of the Swansea and West Wales deal is £1.1 billion while the Cardiff metro cost £1.2 billion on its own.
Correct and if government over tax business they will move elsewhere. You have to have a pro business government to encourage investment and reward people who risk their money setting up and running business.
Unfortunately windfall taxes and increasing all other business taxes, as labour has done, leads to less jobs.
How is the EU democratic. All 28 EU commissioners, who decide EU policies are appointed never elected. How is that democratic ? Both the EU presidents are appointed never elected. How is that democratic.
The EU should not consider a democratic decision made by voters as a snub. They should accept individual democratic decision of members states.
Very few people who voted to leave regret it. Inflation is higher in EU than UK Unemployment in the EU is higher than the UK Even growth in the EU is lower thsn in the UK. The £ has risen against both the € and $ since we left
